It has been a good journey at this college

    College Infrastructure

The basic facilities are fine . However there are many dental chairs in some departments that are not working, which is a necessity in a government college. Other than that for sports there was only one badminton court and also the library is also just adequate.

    Academics

So I was studing - Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Teaching quality was good The teachers are experienced and give good insights and teach well The hands on patient training can be made better. More exposure to patients and latest technology would be better

    Placements

As it's a dental college There are no placements as such You just graduate and find your way. So the thing this question is not really valid from this perspective for medical colleges. So there are no placements that happen

    Value for Money

When you consider Dental colleges, this is one of the best colleges and is also affiliated with Panjab University which is one the of the best ones so ya it is value for money It costed me around 1.5 lakhs for 1 year. For 4 years

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The institution has all the necessary infrastructure including 4 lecture theatres, 1 library, 1 dissection hall, clinics for all the departments ,a laboratory for prosthodontics, pre conservative dentistry, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, general pathology, oral pathology, a dissection hall, seminar rooms for all the departments.

    Academics

All the professors are post graduates in their respective fields and one of the best in the country. They have immense knowledge and always willing to help their students out. They have themselves graduated from the best institutions in the country.

    Placements

The college has no placement cell, unfortunately. You have to find a job yourself after graduation. The college offers a stipend of ₹9000 to the interns and post graduates which is likely to increase in the coming months.

    Value for Money

The fees of the course of BDS is 1,37,400₹. Which I think is justified because of the quality of education you're getting there. All the dental material has to be purchased by the student himself. The college provides no material.

    Campus Life

The college has fests and celebrations all throughout the year, which is a nice change from the monotonous routine. There are also various events organised by the department of public health dentistry each month in which one can participate and showcase their talent.

    Others

Being the only dental hospital in Chandigarh, dr harvansh Singh judge institute of dental sciences and hospital has a very impressive patient inflow, the students get a nice exposure and will gain a lot a lot of confidence by the time they graduate as young dentists from this esteemed institution.

    Placements

It's not about placement cause it's a dental college and you get placed according to your knowledge and practice if you're a good dentist you'll have no problem getting jobs anywhere so just study hard

I hope this answer resolves your query.

    Good Luck!

    Hello Aditi,

No, your approximate rank according to the data of previous years would range between 82216-89872 and as the marks you've scored is quite less and the cutoff mark for the college is higher so it would be really difficult to get a seat into the college.

You could still use our college predictor tool to get a list of colleges you have chances of securing a seat in regard with your category and marks scored in the link below

    Good Luck

    Hii aspirant
Hope you are doing well during pandemic
after the answer key for JEE mains aspirants know their marks and they are figuring out whether what they can get or where they can pursue their future with the stream of their choice
And I completely understand your concern here
Let me make it clear to you that for general there are other state quota and home state quota
In some of the states with home state quota you can easily get into NIT's with good stream
Ranks can be as low as 100000 for general category
For example with 70000 rank under home state quota of Sikkim you can get CSE
There are other streams like metallurgical and materials engineering, biotechnology, chemical engineering etc you can get admission in general category under home state with rank in excess of 100000
    Hope it helps
