Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree and PG Courses School of Engineering (GVPCDPGC), Visakhapatnam, provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of engineering and technology. The admission process at GVPCDPGC is so planned that it chooses the most meritorious and deserving candidates on the basis of national-level entrance examinations.
For undergraduate courses, admissions are mainly through the AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The institute strictly follows the merit admission procedure, taking into account the ranks secured in AP EAMCET as per the reservation rules for different categories.
Postgraduate admissions are also merit-based. For MBA and MCA programs, GVPCDPGC offers weightage for APICET (Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test) marks. Admission to M.Tech programs is done on GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) marks basis, so the college is ensured a quality set of students. For M.Sc programs, APPGCET (AP Post Graduate Common Entrance Tests) marks are accepted by the college.
Application Process
Application process for GVPCDPGC differs for various programs:
For B.Tech programs:
1. Clear the AP EAMCET exam.
2. Apply for counseling process organized by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
3. Select GVPCDPGC and preferred courses during counseling process.
4. If given a seat, report to GVPCDPGC for document verification and payment of fees.
For M.Tech courses:
1. Clear the GATE exam.
2. Apply directly to GVPCDPGC or apply through the centralized admission system, if it's applicable.
3. Appear for other tests or interviews, if the college requires.
4. If selected, complete the admission process at GVPCDPGC.
For MBA and MCA courses:
1. Clear the APICET exam.
2. Apply to GVPCDPGC under the process of centralized counseling or as guided by the college.
3. Attend further rounds of selection, i.e., WAT and PI, if held.
4. In case of selection, undergo the process of admission at GVPCDPGC.
For M.Sc courses:
1. Clear the APPGCET test.
2. Apply through the Andhra University admission process or directly to GVPCDPGC, as applicable.
3. In case of shortlisting, report to GVPCDPGC for document verification and admission procedures.
Degree wise Admission Procedure
B.Tech: GVPCDPGC provides B.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These courses take admission through the score achieved in AP EAMCET. The eligibility criteria make it mandatory that the candidate pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as core subjects.
M.Tech: The college offers M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology and Structural Engineering. Admissions are usually given on the basis of GATE scores, with a potential written test and/or interview subsequently. The candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in the relevant branch.
MBA: GVPCDPGC provides MBA courses, which provide a specialization in Business Analytics. Admissions are done on the basis of APICET scores. The selection process can have other elements like a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
MCA: The Master of Computer Applications course has the same selection process as that of MBA, with APICET scores being the first choice for selection.
M.Sc: The college provides M.Sc degree courses in Organic Chemistry and Computer Science. Admission is based on APPGCET rank.

The college faculty is really good . The way of their teaching and the way of they interacted with the students and their understanding towards the students are all good . The examinations are quite tough .
The teaching faculty in the college is also quite good . The teachers are well knowledgeable in their particular streams and have the experience . The quality of the teaching is also good and the syllabus pattern too .

For any college the Cut off ranks will different for different branches like for B.tech civil engineering the cutoff rank for home state is 3620 for general category and for B.tech Computer science engineering the closing rank is 2124 for home state general candidates and for B.tech Electrical and electronics engineering the closing or cutoff rank for home state general candidates will be around 2932 and for B.tech Electronics and communication engineering the cutoff rank for home state general category candidate will be around 2760 and for B.tech Chemical engineering the home sate general category cutoff rank is around 9446 and for B.tech Mechanical engineering the home state cutoff rank is around 2249 for general category like that and these are cutoff trends of 2019 academic year and these closing ranks may vary a little bit this year.

The cut off for the year 2020 is yet to be available. In 2019 the cut off for admission to Computer Science Engineering in GAYATHRI VIDYA PARISHAD COLL. OF ENGINEERING for BC-B (male) category was 7313. This year it is expected to be in between 7,000-9000. So if you have secured a rank in between 7000-9000 you may get seat in CSE in the preferred college.
