Gojan College of Teacher Education, Chennai, is a reputed teacher training institute in the state of Tamil Nadu. The programs are based on merit-based admissions for the education programs offered by the college within the parameters prescribed by the government of state, the UT administration, and the affiliated university. A co-educational institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education of India (NCTE), Gojan College of Teacher Education offers two primary teacher training programs-B.Ed and M.Ed.

Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): For the B.Ed course, the college has got 100 seats for the admissions process, which will be based on the merits determined by the performance of the applicant in the respective qualifying or entrance examination held for the course. The selection procedure will also be as per any policy made by the state government, UT administration and the affiliated university. This course is for a period of two years, during which the student is going to be well versed in pedagogy and teaching practice.
M.Ed (Master of Education): For the master's degree in education program, the college accommodates a total of 50 seats, same with the admission process of the B.Ed program that considers merit as criteria for admission. Students will be selected on the basis of the marks in the qualifying examination, performance in the entrance examination, or other such selection processes specified by the state government, university, and/or UT administration. This advanced two-year program is built to deepen the knowledge of students regarding theories as well as practices in education.
