The Government College of Nursing, Kottayam, is one of the leading institutions for nursing education in the whole of Kerala. Degree wise Admission Process

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The GNM course has 30 seats. Completion of the 10+2 course or equivalent qualifies a candidate for application.

M.Sc Nursing: The college caters for various specialties within M.Sc Nursing like Medical Surgical Nursing (6 seats), Psychiatric Nursing (4 seats), Paediatric Nursing (4 seats), Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing (4 seats), and Community Health Nursing (4 seats). Admission shall, as a rule, be given on the basis of performance in the B.Sc Nursing program and postgraduate entrance examination.

Post Diploma Programs: Possessing a diploma or degree in nursing and relevant experience generally qualifies a candidate for admission into most of these programs. The specialties on offer are Critical Care Nursing, Neurology Nursing, Cardiothoracic Nursing, Neonatal Nursing, and Oncology Nursing. Each of these specialties has an enrollment of 4 to 6 students.
