Government Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Ajmer Admission Process

The Government Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (GIASE), Ajmer, is an esteemed and premier educational institution in teacher education in India. GIASE follows a well-articulated admission process for the selection of deserving candidates for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in education. Merit is the mode of admission in GIASE in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the state government, UT administration, and that of the university. Degree Wise Admission Procedure

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): This is a two-year full-time course offered by GIASE for an approved intake of 150 students. The purpose of the B.Ed program is to prepare trained teachers at the secondary and higher secondary levels of education. Merit is the basis of admission to the B.Ed program. Marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination are to be considered. Candidates are to fulfill the eligibility criterion laid down by the state government and the institute for admission. The selection process may involve additional components in line with the current admission policy.

M.Ed (Master of Education): A two-year full-time M.Ed course GIASE runs with an approved intake of 40 students. This enhanced course welcomes learners who would like to pursue an advanced study in theories and practices of education and prepare them for taking up leadership or research careers in the field of education. Admission into this M.Ed program is on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying exam and through an institute-held test. The selection process may also include other components as prescribed by the State Government, Central Government, or the University.
