Government Medical College, Pali Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

One of the most well-reputed medical colleges in Rajasthan, Government Medical College, Pali (GMC Pali) and offers a very good and standard medical education in the state. The admission process followed is one of the toughest and most competitive, in fact, rather expert-hand-picking of the most competent candidates for the different educational programs in it. GMC Pali is holding approval from the National Medical Commission and follows a very strict set of rules during its admission processes. The admission procedure varies for undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The undergraduate courses are based on NEET-UG scores for access into GMC Pali, while the postgraduate courses depend on the NEET PG scores. For MBBS, this being the only course offered at GMC Pali, the total number of students allowed by the college is 150 every year. 

The admission process usually begins after the declaration of NEET-UG results. Candidates who qualified that examinations are eligible to join the NEET-UG counseling process, where they will be assigned a seat to study for their chosen course. For postgraduate programs MD in Pathology, Physiology, and Anatomy, this has a smaller intake of 4 seats each. Admission to these courses is based on the performance in NEET PG and a later counseling process. Anyone interested to apply at GMC Pali has to stay updated with the dates of the NEET exams and their results. For NEET-UG 2025, the dates of application will be from February 7, 2025, to March 7, 2025. NEET PG 2025 counseling dates for the stray round (reporting and joining) are set from February 20, 2025, to February 28, 2025.

Application Process

The application procedure for Government Medical College, Pali varies according to the program being applied for:

For MBBS:

1. Register and take the NEET-UG test.
2. Obtain NEET-UG qualification with marks above the cut-off.
3. Register for state counseling (details will be checked on the official state counseling site).
4. Fill in the college and course choices during counseling.
5. Go to GMC Pali for document verification and admission formalities if given a seat there.

For MD Programs (Pathology, Physiology, Anatomy):

1. Register and appear for NEET PG.
2. Qualify NEET PG with a score above the cut-off.
3. Register for the centralized counseling for MD admissions.
4. Participate in the counseling rounds, including one stray round, from February 20 - 28, 2025.
5. If a seat is allotted, the candidate should report at GMC Pali for document verification and completion of admission procedures.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program for GMC Pali students, for 6 years, is proposed as a full-time course and provides an admission for 150 students. Admission to the MBBS program is solely based on the candidate's performance in NEET-UG. The admission procedure needs qualifying in NEET-UG examination to get a counseling process going. The candidates should comply with eligibility criteria prescribed by the NMC and the state government.

MD Pathology: This is a 3-year postgraduate program with 4 seats available. Admission is based on the candidate's NEET PG score. Eligible candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized institution and qualified in the NEET PG examination.

MD Physiology: Another 3-year postgraduate program with 4 seats. The admission process is similar to MD Pathology, requiring candidates to qualify in NEET PG and participate in the subsequent counseling process. 

MD Anatomy: This 3-year postgraduate program also has an intake of 4 students. Admission is through NEET PG, followed by counseling. Candidates must have completed their MBBS and met other eligibility criteria as specified by the NMC.
