GMC Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Government Medical College, Suryapet (GMC Suryapet) is a renowned medical college, providing quality medical education in Telangana. The college has a stringent admission process to identify the most worthy candidates for its different medical courses. GMC Suryapet is NMC-accredited, giving assurance of high-quality medical education.

Admission process is typically simultaneous with the national-level counseling process following these entry exams. Although there are a few dates that change from year to year, the NEET-UG exam is typically conducted in May, for which results come out in June. NEET PG  exam is typically conducted in January, for which counseling dates continue throughout the year. For example, NEET PG counseling Round 3 result is January 25, 2025.

Eligibility conditions for MBBS admission are passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects and English. Students must also be of the minimum age group and have a score above the cut-off in NEET-UG. Students must possess MBBS from an accredited college and must have passed NEET PG with the prescribed score for postgraduate.

Application Process

Application process for GMC Suryapet differs based on the course:

For MBBS:

1. Perform well in NEET-UG with a score higher than the cutoff.
2. Get registered for centralized counseling process (details usually found on web site of state medical education department).
3. Fill online application form with accurate personal and educational details.
4. Upload documents if required, i.e., NEET score card, 10+2 mark sheet, domicile certificate (if required), and category certificates (if required).
5. Pay application fee as per requirement.
6. Participate in counseling, including document verification and seat allotment rounds.
7. If allotted a seat in GMC Suryapet, join the college for final admission formalities and fee payment.

For MD Programs:

1. Clear NEET PG with a valid score.
2. Register in the centralized PG medical counseling process.
3. Fill up online application form for PG admissions.
4. Upload required documents, i.e., NEET PG score card, MBBS degree certificate, internship completion certificate, and other certificates as may be necessary.
5. Remit the application fee as directed.
6. Report for the counseling process, which will involve several rounds of seat allotment.
7. If selected under GMC Suryapet, complete the admission procedure in the college, i.e., document verification and payment of fees.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The MBBS course of GMC Suryapet is permitted for the intake of 150 seats. Admission is purely on the basis of candidate performance in NEET-UG. Admission is through centralized counseling by state or central governments based on NEET ranks.

MD Courses: GMC Suryapet offers a number of courses of Doctor of Medicine (MD), such as:

• MD Microbiology (3)
• MD Pharmacology (3)
• MD Biochemistry (2 seats)
• MD Physiology (3 seats)
• MD Anatomy (3 seats)

Intake to these postgraduate courses is done based on performance of the candidates in NEET PG, after which there is counseling. The candidates should have completed the MBBS course and met all the eligibility requirements of the National Medical Commission.
