Government Polytechnic for Women, Sirsa was established in 1985 as a premier technical institution in Sirsa in the state of Haryana. This exclusively women-only polytechnic college is spread over a sprawling campus of 16 acres and is firmly steeped in the mission of imparting quality technical education to aspiring women engineers. The institute offers various diploma programs in different branches of engineering and is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. With a total student enrolment of 434 and a faculty strength of 17, it ensures personalized attention and quality education. Its commitment to technical education is further underlined by the various courses it offers in five specialized fields keeping in view the changing requirements of the industry.

The college has provided an array of facilities to enhance the learning experience and overall development of the students. The well-stocked library has over 10,000 books related to the curriculum and general knowledge and subscribes to three journals. Departmental laboratories are provided by the Government Polytechnic for Women institue to enable the students to test the theoretical learning through experiments.
