Gujarat Research Society, Hansraj Jivandas College of Education, Mumbai, is conferred as one of the most ambitious institutions for quality teacher training education. The college is accredited by the NAAC and affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education.

Eligibility: The admission process at Hansraj Jivandas College of Education is well-directed towards selecting the most competent candidates for most beneficial programs offered by the Institute. The three major teacher education programs offered by this Institute are three-year Bachelor of Education, Master of Arts in Education, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education. There is a specific admission procedure for each program so that candidates are well suited to the course they wish to pursue.

For B.Ed.—the main offering through the college—admissions are through the Common Entrance Test (CET) and English Language Content Test (ELCT) conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Generally, these tests are done in the previous months preceding the academic year starting in August to September. Application Process

For B.Ed. Program:

2. Register and fill up online application form.

3. Upload necessary documents along with application fee.

4. Submit the completed form online.

5. Wait for the admission list to be published.

6. If selected, proceed with admission formalities as directed.

For the Ph.D.-Education Programme:

1. Check on official notifications or contact admission office Ph.D. announcements.

2. Submit application forms along with requisite documents and research proposals.

3. Appear for the entrance test and/or interview according to schedule.

4. If selected, complete registration and other formalities.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed: Bachelor of Education has an approved intake for 100 seats within the program. Admissions are conducted as per the guidelines of the Centralized Admission Committee, Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates are also required to clear in B.Ed. CET and ELCT. The whole process is computerized and merit-based.

M.A. Education: Admission procedures for obtaining an M.A. in Education are also online through IDOL of the University of Mumbai. Eligibility for application requires completion of a bachelor's degree at a recognized university. Application is generally held before onset of the academic year.

Ph.D. Education: The program allows admission for 18 seats for Ph.D. in education. General requirements for eligibility for admission include master's degree in Education or a related field, with minimum percentage according to UGC norms. The procedure may involve entrance tests, with possible interview.
