Hello Aspirant! As far as academics is compared, both the colleges are good in there state. It depends on your keen interest of branch and comfortable place. Still if compared, GNDEC stands above UIET in terms of faculty, placement and infrastructure. So if you're getting civil in GNDEC then go for it. It's still a better option than mechanical at UIET. Hi,

You need to give 12th board examinations and have a mains score moderately good enough to take admission in GNDEC. Management seats are not there in GNDEC but rank required is not too great. You can easily get admission with a average score in MAINS in GNDEC.

Dear applicant, GNDEC is although a good college but the placement records of previous years say that around 60-70% of the students got their placements with salary packages of 2-4 LPA. However considering the ambience, faculties and facilities this college is a good option but placements are moderate.

Guru Nanak Dev University is good for a course in B.tech Computer science and engineering. It has been accredited NAAC A grade and is an undergraduate course for 4 years with 240 seats available. GNDUC has a ranking of 86 overall in India by NIRF.

Eligibility and Admission - Candidate must have passed 12th grade with a minimum percentage of 50% with mandatory subjects of English, chemistry, physics and Mathematics.

The admission procedure is to register and apply with required information and it is through counselling on JEE Main rank with quota of 85% students in Punjab and 15% outside Punjab.

Placements - Recruiting companies include 99acres.com, Airtel, Coca Cola, Decathelon, Accenture, Axis Bank, berger paints etc with average package of 3.9 LPA and highest package till now for 21 LPA.

Facilities and Infrastructure- Facilities include a library, hostels for boys and girls, a sports complex, labs, cafeteria, gym, medical facilities, dance room, music room, Auditorium.

Here is some information about the college:

Faculty - Some teachers are really good and helping while others are just to spend their time. The classes are regular and you will learn a lot from it. Few teachers go out of their way and help students.

Infrastructure - Well maintained labs are worth mentioning here. You get nice PC's in the lab and an unlimited internet connection of 50mbps.: p . Classes are airy and you spend good time in it.

Placements- Just an average college, regular recruiters are TCS and Infosys with a pay package of 3.25 lac. A student of our college bagged a placement of 18 lacs from Sovieogenic, pune. I still have some high hopes. :p

Extracurricular - GNDEC sports team has bagged greatest honors we boast off. There are good playgrounds and gym. The societies hold some good events at proper intervals of time.

Overall you get a good experience.

Yes it is possible to take the admission in GNDEC , Ludhiana. The Punjab government reserves 85% of the seats for Home students but 15% of the seats shall be made available for the students from All India or other State Quota. There are two methods to get admission into the college:-  One is you should have appeared in JEE main examination.  Other is direct admission ,by which also you can make it to GNDEC.
