Himalaya Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is a relatively new college which imparts education related to Ayurvedic medicine. The Central Council for Indian Medicine has also approved the institution, ensuring it meets the minimum requirements of an Ayurvedic medical college. H AMCH has designed an admission procedure to its BAMS program such that only eligible candidates who seek a career in the field of Ayurvedic medicine are accepted. The admission to HAMCH is mainly done through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG scores. It is a National level test held once every year for gaining entry into all the undergraduate medical programs of a medical college across India, Ayurveda included as well. Students are required to take up the NEET UG and achieve the qualifying score in order to get admitted to the BAMS course in HAMCH.
Generally, the eligibility criterion for admission in BAMS at HAMCH would comprise passing 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Minimum aggregate scores required may exist based on speculations of the concerned regulatory authorities, though the percent mentioned therein may vary, and hence, the applicants could refer to the latest guidelines published. NEET UG being the primary entrance examination for admissions to HAMCH under BAMS deals with the concepts of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the 10+2 level. Hence, students have to prepare well in these subjects with reference materials prescribed for the NEET exams besides NCERT textbooks. Solving previous years' question papers as well as mock tests can help students enhance the performance in the entrance examination.
