The cut off marks and rank depends upon category as well. You have not mentioned the name of the entrance exam for which you have mentioned the marks. Do comment back with more details and i would solve your query. But it can be predicted that if you are OBC/SC/ST candidate, then the rank is enough for getting any branch of your choice. But the rank may not be enough for General category.

KIIT is far better than heritage.KIIT from the point of education, infrastructure and students and I will suggest you to go for KIIT.If you want to join a corporate world after graduation then you should definitely join KIIT coz here students are not only bound within bookies knowledge but also they are very much interested into the real world scenarios. KIIT is capable enough to publish good quality paper which is publish in IEEE journals. On the fees front, HIT(West Bengal) fees is about a 1/3 of KIIT fees .Also,Heritage is good and people are at good places and facilities are also good there.
