Related new institution of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGIPS) was born in 2019 in Ernakulam, Kerala, specialising in pharmaceutical education. The merit-based admission policy of IGIPS follows the guidelines adjudicated by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. 

Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is aimed at creating the standards in pharmaceutical education and selecting candidates to realise their dreams in that field.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences admission process has manual rules and transparent criteria of selection without preference for any group. For selection into the B.Pharm course, students are selected by the competent authority designated by the Government of Kerala or Kerala University of Health Sciences.
