Related new institution of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGIPS) was born in 2019 in Ernakulam, Kerala, specializing in pharmaceutical education. The merit-based admission policy of IGIPS follows the guidelines adjudicated by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. IGIPS is aimed at creating the standards in pharmaceutical education and selecting candidates to realize their dreams in that field.
The admission process has manual rules and transparent criteria of selection without preference for any group. For selection into the B.Pharm course, students are selected by the competent authority designated by the Government of Kerala or Kerala University of Health Sciences. Also, there are only deserving candidates who walked through the doors of this institution.
IGIPS has the approval of the PCI and thus adds value to its programs, which makes education credible and meets national standards. The institute has two main programs, namely a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) and a four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), each program having an approved intake of 60 students.
Application Process

B.Pharma:
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) at IGIPS is a 4-year undergraduate program. Admission into the B.Pharma program is completely based on merit, determined by the competent authority approved by the Government of Kerala or Kerala University of Health Sciences. The selection takes place as stipulated by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. Moreover, the approved intake of IGIPS has been given as 60 students.
