    Hi Sujata,

I don't have much information about Shipbuilding Engineering but as you have requested me to answer this question so I will definitely be helping you out.

Shipbuilding Engineering is a new discipline of Engineering which was introduced in past few years only. It is AICTE approved course.

Now, if you are doing this course in a prestigious institution then you will surely get good placement. If your institute is good or lower than you will face problems in getting job as then you will have to apply off-campus.

Now here your skills play a measure role. After doing this course if you get a job than you will get a decent package. Lower tier colleges do not provide much help to students.

    Hi Sujata,

Institute of Ship building provides DIPLOMA courses under three branches:

    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Shipbuilding Engineering
    • Electronics and communication engineering

So there are no chance of any placements provided by them. If you share some good rapport with your faculty they may recommend you for some jobs. Mostly students pursue DIPLOMA to join degree courses such as B.Tech/B.E. as lateral entry so you could try for that as well.
