Jaipur National University Institute for Medical Sciences and Research Centre (JNUIMSRC) as a reputed medical college. It is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The institute adopts a very strict merit-based mechanism for admitting students. All admissions abide by the National standards of medical education.  The admission to the JNU Institute is based mainly on national-level entrance tests. The MBBS program admission relies solely on NEET-UG; however, MD and MS program admittance requires the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates NEET-PG.

In total, the MBBS program has 150 intakes. The admission cycle is mostly in accordance with the national NEET examination schedule, that is, the counseling and admission process shall follow the announcement of the results. Candidates are recommended to check the official JNUIMSRC website and the portal of the National Medical Commission for the specific dates. The eligibility for admission to the MBBS course includes passing 10+2 in which Biology, Chemistry, and Physics were compulsory. For admission in postgraduate courses, the eligibility would be an MBBS degree obtained from a recognized body. The eligibility requirements for different specializations may vary depending on the NMC guidelines.

Application Process

The application process at JNUIMSRC varies from program to program:

For MBBS:

1. Qualify in NEET-UG with a minimum required score.
2. Register for the counseling process as prescribed by state or central counseling authority.
3. Choose JNUIMSRC as one of the preferred institutions during the counseling process.
4. If seat allocated, report to JNUIMSRC for document verification and admission procedure.

For Admission to MD/MS Programs:

1. Qualify in NEET-PG with a minimum required score.
2. Register for state or centralized counseling.
3. Choose JNUIMSRC with specialization of interest during counseling.
4. If seat is allotted, proceed with the admission to JNUIMSRC.

• MBBS degree and mark sheets (for PG courses)
• Valid ID proof
• Domicile certificate (if applicable)
• Category certificate (if applicable)

Degree wise Admission process

MBBS: Admission to the MBBS programJNUIMSRC is based solely on candidates qualifying in NEET-UG. The institute has the capacity to admit 150 students for this course. Candidates must clear NEET-UG with the required clinic score for any of the admission rights. 

MD/MS Programs: Different postgraduate programs are available at JNUIMSRC and include the following:

2. MD Radio Diagnosis (6 seats)
3. MD General Medicine (6 seats)
4. MD Paediatrics (6 seats)
5. MS Orthopaedics (6 seats)
6. MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (6 seats)
7. MS General Surgery (6 seats)

Admission is conducted through the NEET-PG examination. Candidates have to qualify NEET-PG and further participate in the counseling process for allotment of seats.

Other Specializations: The other available MD specializations at JNUIMSRC include Pathology, Community Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Anatomy, and Forensic Medicine. MS specializations in Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology are also available. The number of seats for these specializations ranges from 2 to 4, and admission is based on NEET-PG performance.
