JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy, Calicut Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Controlled within the tight confinement, JDT Islam College for Physiotherapy, Calicut, is one of those unique institutions that offer physiotherapy education in Kerala, India. It lends itself to a string of physiotherapy different programs-the undergraduate and postgraduate programs-in association with the University of Calicut. JDT seeks applicants who possess a strong moral fabric as well as altruistic interests in being innovators in the field of physiotherapy among admission seekers. The admission process outlined as admissible is strictly in line with the guidelines set by University of Calicut and Kerala University of Health Sciences for admissions. Admission dates usually vary from one academic year to the other, depending on the University's examination results in higher secondary.

Eligibility needed for admission into the undergraduate program Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) is having passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination and securing core subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Aggregate required minimum score as prescribed is a must from these groups. Candidates for admission to a postgraduate course shall have completed their degree of BPT from a recognized facility with minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by the university.

Application Process

The application process for JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy is composed of the following procedures:

1. Notification: The initiation of the admission process is made known through official channels of the college and other sources of media publicity.

2. Application Form: A candidate must obtain and fill out the application form, which may be available online on the college website or obtained manually at the college admission office.

3. Document Submission: Along with the completed application form, candidates must submit the following documents:

• Migration Certificate (if applicable)

Degree wise Admission Process

BPT: This is a four-year undergraduate program with a six-month compulsory rotatory internship. Admission into the BPT program is based on the merit performance of candidates in qualifying examinations (10+2) and any entrance examination, if mandated by the state government or university. Currently, the college has an admitting capacity of 218 students; thus, it accommodates a significant number of BPT students.

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy): There are three specialized MPT programs offered at JDT Islam College of Physiotherapy:

1. MPT in Musculoskeletal and Sports
2. MPT in Neurology
3. MPT in Cardio Respiratory and Intensive Care

All these postgraduate programs fall into the two-year duration bracket. Admission to MPT programs is usually based on performance in their BPT degree and any entrance examination required by the university or state authorities for postgraduate admission. Other selection requirements may also include attending an interview to complete the selection procedure.
