Jhalawar Hospital and Medical College, Jhalawar Admission Process

Jhalawar Hospital and Medical College is one of the prestigious medical colleges along with being renowned in Rajasthan. The admission procedure at Jhalawar Hospital and Medical College is extremely competitive, being conducted through various national-level entrance examinations.

Undergraduate programs like an MBBS course are done through the NEET UG examination. The NEET UG is an annual examination that usually begins its application process in February and ends in March. The NEET UG is the only qualifying examination for MBBS admission in India

The postgraduate admissions into MD and MS programs are based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate NEET PG. The basic eligibility criteria for MBBS admission are the passing of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. For admission into postgraduate programs, candidates need to have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized institution. Approvals by the National Medical Commission (NMC) guarantee that the programs of Jhalawar Hospital and Medical College meet national standards for medical education.

Application Process

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The college has 200 seats available for the MBBS course. Admissions are taken up totally based on the NEET UG performance. The total time for the MBBS course is generally 5.5 years consisting of one year of compulsory internship.

MD/MS Programs: The Jammu Medical Hospital and College provides a variety of postgraduate programs, which include:

  1. MD General Medicine - 16 seats
  2. MD Anaesthesiology - 15 seats
  3. MD Pathology - 11 seats
  4. MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology - 10 seats
  5. MS Orthopaedics - 10 seats
  6. MD Paediatrics - 8 seats
  7. MD Physiology - 5 seats
  8. MS Anatomy - 5 seats
  9. MD Preventive and Social Medicine - 5 seats
  10. MD Forensic Medicine - 4 seats
  11. MD Biochemistry - 3 seats
  12. MD Microbiology - 3 seats
  13. MS ENT - 3 seats

Admission to all the above mentioned postgraduate programs is based on the AU PG NEET performance. The counselling for these programs is conducted on national, followed by the state level counselling for seat allotment.

Admission generally requires documents like:

  • NEET scorecard
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • MBBS Degree certificate
  • Mark sheets (for PG admissions)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

See , your chances for getting JMC jhalawar are not quite high as last time the cut off marks of there for EWS category were 626 but you sure can apply for management seat as its cut off was 606.

As cut offs change every year and there are various aspects related to that like
1. No. of candidates

3. Level of exam
4. No. of seats etc.

Going by last year's cutoffs, 594 was the cutoff score for Jhalwar Medical college and the respective rank was 9254 under 85% state quota for general category candidates. Now you have around 10858 rank so it would be difficult to get seat in Jhalawar Medical College as there are high chances that the cutoffs will increase this year.
