HP College of Education, Kala Amb, was instituted in 2003. This is one of the affiliate colleges established in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh. Accreditation by NCTE in specialisations offered at the teacher education level are also accredited by this institute. The campus accommodates on a small, compact 1-acre land that has all the facilities and is also co-educational. HP College of Education has 196 students with an attached faculty of 24. 

Total student-teacher ratio of all students in the college provides students with appropriate attention and quality education. A campus offering much support through a range of facilities available for students provides much support for its students. The faculty has many laboratories for practical training, a comprehensive library, and sports facilities for physical development. Auditorium is a space for holding events and seminars. Health cnetre with first aid facilities: This would keep the students healthy. HP College of Education also offers modern amenities: WiFi connectivity, IT infrastructure: 410 computers, Transport facility for commuting students and staff. There are two hostels boys and girls, well-arranged with all the basics and security measures. 

HP College of Education offers one full-time programme, a two-year B.Ed. As its name suggests, the B.Ed course is designed to prepare them for successful careers in the teaching profession, equipping trainees with necessary pedagogical skills and knowledge; merit-based admission process will be followed.

It takes into account marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college has been following the admission policy established by the state government, UT administration, and affiliated university.  As a college of teacher education, HP College of Education, Kala Amb continues to be amongst the significant institutions in preparing the future teachers of Himachal Pradesh and other states.
