Khalsa College of Education is situated at Amritsar and is a post–graduate college that was set up in year 1954 to build future of education. This co-educational college is situated in Amritsar, Punjab,India.The College is NAAC accredited and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on 8.75 acres of land, the college has six different teaching programmes in education for overall enrolment of 469 students. The institution employs 60 highly qualified teaching personnel and has a favourable student/faculty ratio which guarantees every student quality teachers.

Khalsa College of Education has several facilities like effective learning, skill development among others. This rich and stocked library contains over 26000 volumes that include text books, encyclopedias, research journals and periodicals. Some of the modern computer laboratories with good audio visual facilities satisfy modern day teaching needs. To meet the physical fitness of the students and recreations, the campus has provided the resources such as gym, short courts for sporting activities, and even a swimming pool. It also provides hostel facilities for students of both sexes separated in gender, with facilities and amenities and separate mess for hostelders providing hygienically prepared healthy meals.

Khalsa College of Education gives student’s wide scope of courses in the area of education management; it also offer full time courses at the u.g and p.g levels. This institution offers six different degrees which include B.Ed, M.Ed, B.Ed–M.Ed, B.A-B.Ed, B.Sc-B.Ed and PGDCA. The different courses available help students in different specialisations in the field of educational sector who wish to pursue their career in teaching or other related professions.

Degree wise Admission Process

Selection will take place as per policies from the state government, UT administration, as well as the university.

Integrated B.Sc B.Ed: This program at Khalsa College has an offering of 100 seats. The admission will be conditional for the marks of qualifying examination and the results from entrance examination. A special note for this program is to determine pedagogical and subject specialization at the time of admission.

Integrated BA B.Ed: Like the B.Sc B.Ed course, this integrated course has 100 seats. Admission is through merit from the qualifying examination and test entrance. Subject preferences and pedagogic specializations must be specified by the students at admission.

M.Ed: The program of M.Ed offers an intake of 50 seats. Admission for the students is done on merit, according to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination results in line with the policies set up by the state government, UT administration, and the university.

Integrated B.Ed M.Ed: This program has a seat capacity of 50. Admission is based similarly to other programs through merit determined from qualifying examination scores and/or entrance examination results.

PGDCA: The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications consists of 40 seats. Its procedure for admission is not stated, but it is likely similar to other courses of the college, which would be on a merit basis.

Admission to B.Sc agriculture takes place by  directly on the basis of class 12 marks or  entrance test or on the basis of both. It depends on thw institutions where you want to take admission. However Most of the institutions take admission on the basis of entrance test. The entrance test may be specific to the Institute, college or university . Or it may be on National level.
