Hinduja College of Commerce, KPB, Mumbai, popularly known as Hinduja College Mumbai, has plenty of different undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs open for admission in commerce and management. Admissions process at the college is well structured and in accordance with the rules prescribed by the University of Mumbai. Admissions usually start at the opening of the academic year and differ from each other according to program level and specialization.
Undergraduate courses use the 12th standard examination results as the basis for entry to the program. PhD Programs:
1. Application for PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the University of Mumbai.
2. Qualifying the PET examination.
3. Apply at KPB Hinduja College for the specific PhD program of interest.
4. Submission of research proposals and other documentary requirements as prescribed by the college.
5. Interview or additional tests as required by the department.
6. If successful, pay all the necessary fees and register for the PhD degree.
Admission Process Degreewise
B.Com: KPB Hinduja College offers B.Com with a total of six different specializations, namely Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, and Financial Markets. Admission for the B.Com is based on 12th standard marks and follows the guidelines of the University of Mumbai. Candidates from boards other than Maharashtra need to submit a Transfer Certificate.
BMS: The Bachelor of Management Studies program processes admission similarly as B.Com, that is depending on 12th standard performance and following University of Mumbai rules.
B.Sc: The institution provides a B.Sc in Information Technology. Admission is based on 12th standard marks, with specifications for required subjects as defined by University of Mumbai's norms.
M.Com: The specializations are Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Studies and E-Commerce. Admission for the M.Com course is based on performance at the bachelor's degree level but can involve other criteria of selection established by the University of Mumbai.
MA: The college has established a Master's degree in Communications and Journalism, Public Relations and a Business Economics MA degree. Admission is on the basis of written test (language and general knowledge), group discussion and personal interview, and final selection is based on aggregate performance across all three.
PhD: Doctoral studies strategies are available for admission in seven disciplines: Trade Transport and Industry, Business Policy and Administration, and Management Studies. To become eligible for admission, a Petitioner must qualify the PhD Entrance Test (PET) set up by the University of Mumbai.
I have completed my b.com in this college. The quality of teaching in good teacher nicely examples the concept sometimes with examples of the company or other things also. Yes curriculum is updated and includes all the recents development in the fields .

Doing an MA in journalism and mass communication is really a good choice. You can go in almost every area with this as your major. Every college has it's own admission policy and they release admission forms at different times. Some have admission tests, some take admission merit basis and some take students on the basis of common entrance tests like CAT, MAT and XAT. Some colleges like MICA have heir own common test.
