Lokadrusti College of Advanced Technology, Nuapada, is technology-centric in formal education.  Admission is based mostly on the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the competent authority for admission into many programmes of the college. This test serves as the assessment benchmark across various programmes from the college. The CET is most important for courses like Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). In the case of BCA and PGDCA, admission is purely via counseling from the ranks of successful candidates from the CET. If seats are unfilled after the course of admissions, selections will be held through spots or on merit. 

The merit in this case will be based on the marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination only, without consideration for any additional marks or weightage for optional subjects.  The college provides 3+1 mainstream programs: BCA, B.Sc, and PGDCA. The BCA and B.Sc programs are for three years while the PGDCA is for a year. Application Process

The general admission procedure followed by Lokadrusti College of Advanced Technology, Nuapada, is as outlined below:

1. Common Entrance Test (CET): Candidates are to appear for CET administered by competent authority. This test is mandatory for courses like BCA and PGDCA.

2. CET Results: Wait for the declaration of results as per the CET.

3. Counseling: Successful candidates in CET are invited to a counseling session. The candidates choose their course and college based on ranks and availability of seats. 

4. Document Verification: This is the stage where candidates present their documents to be verified during the process of counseling. These may include:

7. Spot Admissions: Where there are empty seats, the college may conduct spot admissions. Candidates need to apply directly to the college along with their academic records for this.

8. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares merit lists for spot admissions or if there are vacancies according to the aggregate marks in the last qualifying examination.

9. Final Admission: Completed admission will be after successful transaction on all steps and fee deposit.

Degree-wise Admission Process

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Admission to the BCA program is dependent on the CET conducted by the respective authority. Seats are filled via counseling of successful CET candidates. In the case of remaining unfilled seats, there shall be a spot selection or merit-based admission. A merit list shall then be compiled based on the total score attained in the last qualifying examination, and no additional points will be given or set for extra optional subjects.

PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications): The admission procedure for PGDCA is similar to that of BCA, that is, it is through the CET and then counseling for successful candidates. There may be some vacant seats and if there are, they will then be filled through spot selection or merit-based admission. The merit list shall be prepared according to the aggregate marks achieved in the last qualifying examination.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): Direct admission details for the B.Sc module may not be specified; it is understood that the admissions for this course shall probably follow the similar admission structure of all the other courses in the college. Possible triggers for entry might be based on CET indication or merit in the qualifying examination.
