The infrastructure plays a significant role in a college, and MKCE excels in providing excellent facilities. We have high-tech labs, lifts, smart classrooms, well-ventilated environments, hostels, and mess facilities. The college also features a tech innovation hub and a placement training cell. Among these, I find everything to be satisfactory for me.
The quality of academics is excellent. In the third semester, we studied data structures, including structuring data using Binary Trees, Stacks, and Queues for efficient shortest path algorithms. Additionally, I learned about graphs, which will be valuable for future innovations.
The placement cell at MKCE is working diligently to support final-year students who were unable to secure placements earlier. In the upcoming month, the college is bringing in companies to provide new opportunities, allowing my seniors to leverage these openings and secure positions in IT companies.
On reviewing my college infrastructure, I can say that it has good library facilities, well-equipped classrooms, and smart boards. These smart boards helped me present my project effectively to my project coordinator, improving the clarity and quality of my explanation and got prize in my competition.
The academics in my college are well-structured. In my 3rd semester, I studied subjects like Electric Circuit Theory, which provided a strong foundation in analyzing both AC and DC circuits. This course helped me understand current and voltage behavior through simulations and practical applications using discrete components.This course is really worthy that there in my curriculum.
The placement scenario in our college is promising compared to other institutions. For example, even if I secure a job, I am still encouraged to participate in further placement drives, providing opportunities to enhance my package. This approach left a strong positive impression on me about my college.
At MKCE, we have numerous facilities, and I make efficient use of the library resources, which are equipped with computers. The library is accessible during college hours, allowing you to search for anything and utilize it for project work as well. As a quiet space, it's ideal for focused study, and I often use it, especially during examination periods.
My academics included studying algorithms in the Design and Analysis of Algorithms course, where I covered key concepts such as string matching, quick sort, Huffman coding, and the N-Queen problem. This subject is crucial for improving coding efficiency.
The placement sector at M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering is truly valuable. For second-year students like me, I can definitely say that they offer the 'Career Skill Development I & II' programs, which include 2 hours of aptitude training and 2 hours of communication training each week. In addition, there are alumni interaction programs, speed math training, and the Phase I program, which focuses on communication skill enhancement through STEP, an initiative by The Hindu Group.
The college I am studying at provides good infrastructure, including Ethernet cables in our computer lab. Students who bring their laptops can use these cables, and a separate space is allocated for them.
My academic experience has been okay. I find the special "coaching classes" for students who score below the eligibility mark to be highly effective in helping them boost their marks in the next exam.
The placement opportunities here are relatively better compared to other colleges. I have seen successful placements across all departments, including the Mechanical department, where students secured jobs through the Japanese training program. In my department, we have achieved placements in the IT industry with competitive salary packages.
The infrastructure in my college functions efficiently, and I am truly satisfied with the facilities. There is a spacious hall dedicated to yoga sessions, which is also used for special events such as guest lectures and motivational talks. I believe this plays a vital role in keeping students refreshed and energetic.
The college's academic performance in providing quality education is commendable. In my third semester, we had subjects like Data Science, where I gained hands-on experience with real-time data analysis using the Weka tool and various datasets. Additionally, we used Python IDLE for statistical data analysis, which helped me develop a solid understanding of data processing techniques.
Everyone is dedicated to ensuring better placements, and my college actively collaborates to help students secure positions in reputable companies. I’ve observed that the college provides training well in advance whenever companies visit for recruitment. These efforts have proven effective, as many students have successfully secured placements in various companies with good package.
The infrastructure specific to my department is well-maintained, with dedicated laboratories for each field, including the Concrete Lab, Solid Mechanics Lab, CAD Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Surveying Lab, and Highway Engineering Lab.
The academic quality in my department is quite good, with subjects like Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery, Construction Materials and Techniques, Surveying, and Environmental Science. Additionally, I have worked on a minor project, which has helped me build a strong foundation.
The placement cell is working efficiently, and I have seen its benefits firsthand. In my department, three seniors from the 2024 batch secured placements at Team Detailed Solutions with a package of 2.16 LPA.
As a student at MKCE, I can say that the college offers numerous facilities. One such facility is the "MIC PORTAL," where we document our weekly mentor sessions. During these sessions, we discuss various topics, and the updates are recorded on the portal. Additionally, mentors provide feedback based on these discussions.
I have a well-structured curriculum in my department at MKCE. In my 7th semester, I studied subjects like Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Materials and Metallurgy , which provided insights into both the scientific and technological aspects of various additive and formative rapid manufacturing processes.
The placement cell is performing well, as many of my senior students have secured positions at TCS. Additionally, I have received an offer from INGAGE, along with me 17 other students from our batch got the offer from that company.

The placement scenario at our campus is generally strong. Notably, a senior from the 2024 batch secured a position at Teradyne with a salary package of 22 Lakhs Per Annum, one of the highest in that batch.
In my college, we have good infrastructure. We have facilities like the BCM laboratory, which provides a dedicated space for creating prototypes. Students interested in working on projects with unique ideas can benefit greatly from these resources. Even I have used these materials for my project.
My academic experience in the department has been great, as we have a lot of diagram-based papers in our semesters. One of the subjects we had was Machine Drawing using AutoCAD, which helps communicate the technical information required for the manufacturing and assembly of machine components.
The placement process in my department is progressing well. As of the last semester, I completed a Japanese language training program offered by the college, reaching N3 level, which is sufficient to secure a good position in Japanese companies. One of my friends, who also completed the N3 level, attended an interview this semester and was successfully placed with a competitive package.
The infrastructure for day scholars is really good. As I come from a long distance, my college provides excellent bus facilities. We have a dedicated website called "Bus Booking," where students can reserve their seats for the entire semester.
