College Infrastructure
The infrastructure in our department is good, with well-functioning computers in the labs and well-maintained seminar halls, each equipped with four air conditioners. The hostels are decent, but for boys, only first-year students have access to hostel facilities, as the hostel is exclusively for first-year boys.

I am currently studying at 1st semester of Madhav Institute of Technology (MITS), Gwalior, and I want to apply for lateral entry to UIT RGPV, SGSITS, or DAVV. Am I eligible for admission?
Unfortunately you are not eligible for lateral entry admission in UIT RGPV, SGSITS, and DAVV because a first-year engineering student cannot apply for lateral entry admission because lateral entry in these colleges is only available to students who have already completed a diploma in engineering, allowing them to directly enter the second year of a B.Tech program; therefore, you need to complete a diploma first to be eligible for lateral entry.
However you can take part in college level counselling of UIT RGPV, SGSITS, and DAVV to take transfer from your college if any seat vacant in the college they will notified it on their official website in the month of July.keep visiting site for admission details.

With a CRL rank of 299,376 and a percentile of 79.78 in JEE Mains, it might be challenging to secure a seat in a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Gwalior (assuming that’s what you meant by MITS Gwalior). Generally, top engineering institutions like MNIT Gwalior have highly competitive cutoffs for CSE and other core branches, often requiring much higher ranks and percentiles.
However, having an MP domicile might give you some advantage in state quota seats, but it’s unlikely to bridge the gap for such a competitive branch like CSE. You might have better chances with lower-demand branches or at other institutions with more relaxed cutoffs.
If you're open to other options, consider exploring:
- Other branches within MNIT Gwalior or similar institutions.
- Other institutes where the cutoff might be lower.
- Private engineering colleges or universities where the competition might be less intense.
