Madras Institute of Technology was established in 1949 by Shri. C. Rajam. The college was merged with Anna University in 1978. MIT Chennai is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Madras Institute of Technology also has NIRF ranking. adras Institute of Technology offers admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D level programmes. The courses offered for Madras Institute of Technology admissions are B.E/B.Tech, B.E Part Time, M.E/ M.Tech , M.E/M.Tech Part Time, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Before applying for admission, candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria. For MIT Chennai admission to B.E/ B.Tech programme, candidates have to register on the TNEA website. After that, TNEA prepares merit list and ranks on the basis of 10+2 scores of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Qualified candidates have to register for TNEA counselling. Seats will be allotted as per the preference of the candidates. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam for B.E Part Time, M.E/M.Tech Part Time, M.Sc. Applied Mathematics programmes. According to the Madras Institute of Technology admission procedure for M.E/M.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for TANCET /GATE. Merit lists and ranks are prepared after the declaration of the result. Candidates whose names are on the rank list have to appear for TANCA counselling. After that, seats will be allotted as per the ranks. For Madras Institute of Technology admission to the Ph.D programme, candidates have to appear for a written test and interview. Selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the written test, interview and qualifying exam. Finally, to confirm the seats, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

MIT Institute of Design has released the MITID DAT 2022 application form on October 28, 2021, in online mode - mitid.edu.in. Students can fill out the MITID DAT registration form 2022 till February 28, 2022, which was yesterday. MITID DAT application form was available only in online mode.  Candidates have to pay Rs. 3000 as an application fee. They can pay the same through online mode or demand draft. The is no news regarding the extension of the last date or filling the form with late fees. Please click the below link for the latest information.

All the colleges mentioned by you the leading private Engineering colleges of India. Out of these Vellore Institute of Technology is the best with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham just behind it. Vellore Institute of Technology is the highest ranked private Engineering College of India followed by Amrita University and both colleges are known for its amazing placements, infrastructure and the environment it provides to the students. Following this MIT comes the next with very good placement opportunities but it is is costly in terms of academic fee. SRM institute of science and technology comes next in the list with the main campus in Chennai being one of the most reputed institution in the country. Kalinga Institute of industrial technology is at the same level with SRM but only thing is it is better known for Computer Science and Engineering only.

Rest of the colleges mentioned by you are still growing and can be considered at same level and you can choose among them as per your wish and convenience but tech Mahindra edges slightly over others.

Yes, definitely reservation will be there for their State students. Few number of seats will be given for other State students under Non-local Category irrespective of the Caste they belong to.

Exams like TS EAMCET, UP CET, COMEDK UGET, TNEA, etc are State Level Entrance exams for admission into varies UG courses. To get seat through these exams candidates need to apply for respective exam Counselling.

JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, etc are National Level Entrance exams and seats are alloted through respective Counselling.

Exams like MET, VITEEE, SRM JEE are University level entrance exams conducted by Private Universities in India for admission into varies courses.

You can appear these exams if you wish to and can help you to understand the concept of online entrance exam and challenges faced during the exam, etc.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that all the above mentioned colleges/Universities are good and best in terms of Infrastructure, Career placements, job offers, academics etc. So you can choose any of the universities of your choice.

But according to my opinion, KIIT Bhubaneshwar is one of the best colleges.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology or KIIT Bhubaneswar was established in 1992 by Achyuta Samanta with small finances and a vision to create a university for the benefit of society.  In 2004, KIIT was declared Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. There are a total of 7 KIIT University affiliated colleges .

In 2014 KIIT Bhubaneswar achieved ‘Tier 1’ accreditation by NBA. The university has been ranked 17th in the dental category, 39th in the engineering category and 10th under the law category in NIRF 2021 Ranking.  As per the NIR Ranking 2021, the university has secured 36th rank in the medical category,  21st in the university category, 31 in the management category and 39th in the overall category.

This college is best in terms of Infrastructure, placements, Job offers, academics, facilities etc.

This type of transfer from one college to another college is generally not possible unless there is any specific rule to do this type of college change in both the colleges , approved by the college authority.

and also, this college doesn't allow lateral entry also(MIT) .

The admission process is as follows :

• B.Tech : min 45% marks in class 12 qualifying exam with PCM combination
• B.Tech part time: Must do diploma in Engineering and should have good proficiency in PCM.
