There are 5 hostels for girls that can accommodate 559 students. MIT hostel facilities for girls include beds with mosquito nets, a first aid box, LED TV and RO water, 24 x 7 power backup, a common fitness centre (Gym), indoor games and others.
The following are the amenities of the MIT Chennai Health Centre. From 10 am to 6 pm, there are two physicians on duty. From 4 pm to 6 pm, there are specialists. MIT Chennai facilities for medical care include a clinical laboratory for sample analysis; a 24-hour ambulance service; a physiotherapy service and a pharmacy adjacent. The MIT Health Center also conducts additional events including wellness camps, deworming days, and distribution of iron supplements.
The library at Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai is well-equipped with reading materials. MIT campus library contains an extensive book collection with about 97,000 volumes of literature on a range of engineering and science topics. 140 publications are subscribed to by the library.
