MSRIT Bangalore Facilities

Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bangalore is a private engineering college located on a campus spread across 85 acres in Bangalore city. Ramaiah Institute of Technology facilities and world-class infrastructure make the lives of the students on the campus quite comfortable. There are well-appointed hostel rooms for single/double/triple occupancy with basic amenities.

Ramaiah Institute of Technology has a network and internet centre with all the important servers. Other MSRIT Bangalore facilities include a well-equipped gym, a library, auditoriums, board rooms, common rooms, recreation centres, and two food courts. The clean drinking water facility is available 24*7 to all the hostel and institution blocks. The institute has a spacious parking facility with 24*7 security and CCTV camera installation. The library is scattered into 6 locations across the campus and combined they have a seating capacity of 1265.

Boys Hostel
The institute has well-appointed hostel rooms with attached bathrooms with water. Round the clock security is provided to all blocks. There are large recreation halls equipped with TV, newspapers and magazines in all 3 hostel blocks. The mess provides breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
Girls Hostel
Separate hostel facilities are available for the girls' students. Round-the-clock security is provided to all blocks. There are large recreation halls equipped with TV, newspapers and magazines in all 3 hostel blocks. The mess provides breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
Medical/Hospital
The college has health center with first aid facility for the students.
Gym
The gym at RIT is well-equipped with a range of aerobic equipment and free weights. It is maintained by the Sports Department and open to all the members of the institute.
Library
The air-conditioned fully automated library at RIT campus comprises 39584 titles, 123664 volumes of books and 85 National printed magazines. The library is scattered into 6 locations across the campus and combined they have a seating capacity of 1265.
Sports
The college has the sports facilities for all students.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
RIT has 2 food courts providing delicious and hygienic North Indian and South Indian meals along with fresh fruit juices and snacks.
Auditorium
RIT campus institute has many auditoriums used for several occasions, such as alumni events, graduation ceremony, fresher’s party, first-year inauguration, etc.
Transport Facility
The institute has provided the bus facility for both staff and students. Three buses with 60 seating capacity each for students and two buses with 45 seating capacity each are provided.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.

The college has the swimming pool facilities for all students.

The college has departmental based laboratories facility for the students.

College Infrastructure

I am not a hosteler, I am a day scholar so I don't know about the hostel facilities. In our college, Wi-Fi facility is very much good. We can use 11GB per day free for one year. We have to the chemistry lab, computer-aided engineering drawing lab, and computer lab up to today because we are still in 1st semester. We haven't seen the workshops or aerospace labs, they will show us after the 1st semester. Classrooms and library facilities are very good.

College Infrastructure

There are 4 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. The hostel rent varies from Rs. 1.2-1.6 lakhs and Rs. 70,000-80,000. Facilities are good. Wi-Fi, food, clothes washing, etc, are provided. The demerits are timing curfew, and outside food is not allowed. Other hostel students are also not allowed. Otherwise, the atmosphere of the hostel is really good

College Infrastructure

MS Ramaiah Institute of technology have quite good infrastructure for the course, they have projectors well maintained functional labs and good Wi-Fi service. The hostels are not on the good side which are within the campus but they have hostels outside but near the college which are good within reasonable feels

For Biotechnology which college is good? BMSCE or MSRIT or Chanakya University? Chanakya has advanced new lab setup with support from Biocon. But it's first batch there. it will be trial and error batch. that's the only big con of that university. but its syllabus is NEP. So, which is better?

If you are opting for Biotechnology, each university has its own advantages:

BMSCE and MSRIT are well established universities with good faculty, decent placement history (certainly very respectable relative to emerging colleges) and alumni network/community. Programme is stable now and processes are well established, however, they would be using old ways of teaching and probably the infrastructure will be old too.
Chanakya University is new and backed by Biocon and designed under NEP framework (looks good). Syllabus looks strong, especially with practical lab work, exposure to research(PhD), and inter-disciplinary consumption of subject and knowledge. However, students will probably be first year batch so will have to deal with uncertainty due to execution, placements and faculty stability.

With a COMEDK rank of 6949 , you are not likely to get ECE at top colleges like MSRIT, BMSCE, or RVCE , as their ECE cutoffs are usually below 4,000 .

Consider other branches like Mechanical, Civil, or other IT specializations where closing ranks range between 25,000 to 60,000

Explore less competitive engineering colleges in Karnataka that cut off around 50,000 to 100,000 .

Can I get admission in msrit in machanical branch basis on 23000 ranked in comedk

hi,

With a rank of 23,000 in COMEDK, getting admission in the Mechanical branch at MSRIT might be difficult because usually the closing rank for Mechanical in this college tends to be much lower. MSRIT is one of the top colleges and seats in popular branches like Mechanical usually fill up quickly. But still, you can try in the later rounds of counselling because sometimes the cutoffs go a bit higher if some students leave or change their options
