Hello Dear,

MIT Manipal and VIT Vellore have been the two conflicting options for any student who wishes to study and move forward in the IT sector.

Manipal Institute of Technology is a constituent institution of Manipal Academy of Higher Education that specializes in engineering. MIT contains 17 academic departments and awards undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees.

Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university located in Vellore, India. Founded in 1984, as Vellore Engineering College,

Both universities fare well in many segments, Placement of both the colleges are decent but MIT Manipal has more presence, which is what matters at the end. If the students are looking towards working in a country with great companies, MIT can be his/her choice without a second thought. VIT Vellore comes ahead with its fee structure and opportunities abroad.

Good Luck

Hello,

All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology, Pune formerly known as Women’s Engineering College, was established in 1999. It is affiliated to the University of Pune and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognised by Director of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.

Good placements are provided but it all depends on your performance. If you give your best performance then you will definitely get placed. Cybage, Zenda, Amazon, Amdocs are some examples of companies.

MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE) was founded in 1999 under Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Education and Research (MAEER) by Dr Vishwanath D. Karad, executive president and founder of the distinguished MIT Group.

It holds the affiliation of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

MIT Academy of Engineering has an active Training and Placement cell that facilitates placements of students in their final years.

The previous year, one boy got a salary package of 40 LPA. A lot of companies like TCS, Infosys and other MNCs visit our campus for placements. Placements for computer and IT students are offered with good salary packages than students of other branches.

All India Shri shivagi memorial society is better than MIT in placements.

Hope this helps!!!

Hi Aspirants,

You are right the college is not that much great. The college provides poor placement about 30-50% in computer science also.Infrastructure of the college is good with WIFI facilitated campus but the location of the college is really bad.Teachers are also good, qualified having more than 10years of experience. However at the end of day all you need is placements which is very poor in this college.Dont go to this college unless you dont have any options in hand.

Hope it helps!!

Hi Prathmesh!

MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune, has good placement! Placement for Mechanical Engineering is quite average when compared to that of Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.

The highest salary is Rs. 14 lakhs/year and the average salary is Rs. 4 lakhs/year. Some of the companies which come here for recruitment are TATA Motors, Forbes, Force Motors, etc,. Internships are provided for all. The placement here has got a rating of 3.6 out of 5 ranked by the on-studying students of that college!

Hope this is helpful!

Hello, for the Mechanical engineering in MIT campus you need to have a cut off higher than195 for your category. But you can get seat in ACT and CEG campus other departments like printing, rubber technology etc. If your preference is only mechanical engineering then with your profile you can try for mechanical engineering Tamil medium in CEG campus, Bits campus Trichy etc.
