Yes, IMU CET will accept cbse improvement result.
As IMU CET held twice in a year ( one is during June and other one during December for August and February batches respectively) i.e conducted by Indian maritime universty for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The eligibility criteria for IMU CET is that the candidate should have following Academic Qualifications-
Should have passed 12th standard qualifying examination with aggregate marks of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
At least 50% marks should have been secured in English.
Considering this criteria, you are eligibile if you have secured the marks mentioned above.

imu does not reveal the scores of candidates. however if you have studied for jee main and have good grip over english it will be easy for you. and also there is some general awareness question which is quit scoring.as for the rank under 1000 you need to score 100+ to get such rank. hope you get my point.
