Maheshwara Medical College and Hospital, Patancheru Admission Process

This is a well-known medical college affiliated with Maheshwara Medical College & Hospital (MMC& H), Patancheru, and situated in the Medak District of Telangana. It provides the students courses at bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels, making it one of the few really house colleges in the state. It also has accreditation from National Medical Commission (NMC), and admission into its various courses is through a strain and credible selection process intended at bringing in the most worthy candidates. The admission at MMC& H is through all national level exams. For instance, the admission into undergraduate programmes like MBBS is done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), and for postgraduate programmes, the students are screened using the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG) scores.

Normally, at MMC& H, the academic year commences around August-September, but the admission process starts a few months before that. Application Process

Application procedures differ per program for admission into Maheshwara Medical College and Hospital.

  5. If allotted a seat, report to the college for document verification and completion of the admission process.

Usually required documents for admission include:

  • Marksheets and certificates of 10th and 12th standard
  • MBBS degree certificate and its marksheets (for PG admissions)
  •  Valid ID proof
  • Passport size photo
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other certification specified by the college or counseling authority

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program at MMC& H has an approved intake of 150 seats. Admission to these 150 seats is based solely on the NEET admission merits of the candidate. The candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subjects from a recognized board.

MD/MS Programs: MMC& H has a wide selection of MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) programs with varying approval capacities for students:

  1. MD Anaesthesiology (4 seats)
  2. MD Microbiology (4 seats)
  3. MD Community Medicine (3 seats)
  4. MD Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy (2 seats)
  5. MD General Medicine (2 seats)
  6. MD Paediatrics (2 seats)
  7. MD Pathology (2 seats)
  8. MD Respiratory Medicine (2 seats)
  9. MS General Surgery (2 seats)
  10. MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2 seats)
  11. MS Ophthalmology (2 seats)
  12. MD Radio Diagnosis (1 seat)
  13. MS Orthopaedics (1 seat)
  14. MS Otorhinolaryngology (1 seat)

The admission process for these postgraduate programs is also done according to the scores of NEET PG. Candidates applying for these programs should possess an MBBS degree from any accredited institution.
