Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College, Madurai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has A spacious hostel for girl students that caters to the needs of the students hailing from the neighboring villages, towns, and other states. The hostel promotes a healthy and congenial environment for communal living. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food is provided in the mess.

The college has medical facilities and recreational facilities are available. Hostel students have the special privilege of learning Hindi. Prayer is conducted every day in the Hostel to inculcate the values of integrity, peace, and harmony in the minds of the students. The principal is the Warden, assisted by the Deputy Warden, selected from the teaching staff.

The College has Gymnasium that is well equipped with gadgets to improve physique and give corrective measures for reducing obesity and maintaining physical fitness.

The College has a library that is fully automated. The college library has an area of 12521 sq. ft and it contains 39108 books at present and efforts are afoot to increase the number of books in the forthcoming years. A book bank caters to the needs of SC/ST students. Students are allowed to prepare for competitive examinations and entrance examinations. A total number of 59 National and International Journals, 31 magazines, and periodicals are being subscribed. A computer automation facility is available for quick access and retrieval of day to day function of the library activities. A separate P.G library is accommodated in the P.G block.

The College has a large playground is a part of an infrastructure facility provided to the students in the college. Although participation in all games is encouraged, a special facility in the form of training under the supervision of experienced coaches in games like Volleyball, Basketball, and Football exists on campus. Intra Collegiate competitions are arranged for indoor games like Badminton, Chess, and Carom.

The college has an auditorium (Lakshmi Ammal Veerappa Naicker Auditorium) that has audio-visual facilities and can accommodate 2000 persons. College auditorium is utilized for organizing seminars, conferences, cultural and academic programs. 2. College offers its premises and other facilities as a venue for the assembly, panchayat elections, and public awareness programs.

The College has made proper arrangements with TNSTC authorities and four city buses are operated from the college campus exclusively for girls. Two buses are commuting from College to Periyar bus stand. Also, buses to Tirumangalam and Annanagar commutes from the college.
