Mauli College of Pharmacy, Udgir, conducts a systematic admission procedure to select competent and zealous candidates for its pharmacy programs. Located at Tondar, Udgir, Maharashtra, the college offers two specialized pharmacy programs: a four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) and a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) programs.
The admission process normally starts in the months beforehand to allow actual entry by the students in the first week of the academic calendar. Even so, concerned about the time, prospective students are highly advised still to prepare properly for their applications. The aim of the college is to evaluate the strongest prospects in pharmaceutical studies, as per the instructions set by the college.
For the normal B.Pharma entrance, students are expected to complete their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics from a recognized board. The typical entry requirements for D.Pharma candidates are passing their higher secondary examinations with a Science background. The college might also carry out its own entrance examinations or interviews directed toward evaluating students' sight and knowledge on relevant subjects.
Application Process
The application process involves different steps to ensure a fair and thorough assessment of a candidate:
1. Prospective students are required to fill the application form for the college. The application form is obtained from the college office.
2. The candidates need to accompany the application form with a few documents. These normally include:
Mark sheets for 10th and 12th standards
School leaving certificate
Character certificate
Latest passport-size photographs
Any other certificates or documents that have been put forth by the college
3. Candidates may need to appear for a state-level or national-level pharmacy entrance exam. The college may also conduct its own entrance test.
4. Interviews may potentially be held as part of the selection process.
5. The merit list will be drawn up by taking into consideration the academic performance, entrance examination (if held), and interview calculated scores for these selected candidates.
6. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission by paying their fees and submitting their original documents within the time allotted.
7. After admission, the students are usually taken for an orientation program to help them understand the facilities in the college, faculty, and expectations of the academic world.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate program with an intake capacity of 100 students each year. Admission is based entirely on the performance of the candidate at 10+2 level in science subjects with respect to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The total fee amounts to about Rs. 180,000 for the course duration.
D.Pharma: Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year program with an intake capacity of 60 students per year. This course is aimed for the students who want to enter the pharmaceutical industry as quickly as possible. Admission criteria would generally comprise of performance in the 10+2 examination in the science subjects. The total fee for the course duration is around Rs. 90,000.
