MIPER Kurnool Admission Process

Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (MIPER), Kurnool, has been a premier institution committed to imparting effective pharmaceutical education. The institute adopts a merit-based admission policy for its Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma)-the major course-MIPER provides in terms of its programs. The admission process is so carried out to choose the most deserving candidates based on their academic performance and entrance score. In their admission process, MIPER accepts the ranks obtained in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). This entrance exam is one of the most competent for engineering courses and that for pharmacy in the state of Andhra Pradesh. 

Gearing toward B.Pharma admissions, the institute also considers the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) for diploma holders seeking lateral entry into the second year. This way, it assures candidates about having a strong foundation in the required subjects before coming into the course. Generally, the admission cycle goes together with the AP EAMCET and AP ECET schedule. Interested candidates must keep visiting the official website of the concerned entrance examination for the exact dates for application, examination, and announcement of results. Hence, applicants are required to be in complete sync with the proceedings so that none of the deadlines is ever missed in the admission process.

Application Process

Any admission application process to Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kurnool, is executed in following steps:

1. AP EAMCET Application:

  • Register for the AP EAMCET examination on the official website.
  • Fill-up the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
  • Pay the application fee required.
  • Appear for the AP EAMCET on the stipulated date.

2. AP ECET Application (in the case of lateral entry):

  • Diploma holders interested in lateral entry shall apply for AP ECET.
  • The online application is to be prepared at the official website.
  • The application fees shall be paid and the form submitted.
  • The candidate must give the AP ECET on the prescribed day.

3. Counselling Process:

  • After the announcement of results, qualified candidates must enter the counselling process.
  • Registrations for the counselling must be done with the payment of fee.
  • In the course of counselling, the candidates should select MIPER and B. Pharma as their preference.

4. Verification of Documents : In case accommodation in MIPER is allotted, the candidate must report with original documents for verification to MIPER.

Candidates must carry the following documents:

  • AP EAMCET/ECET rank card
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Transfer certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Other documents the institute specifies.

5. Fee Payment: Pay the required tuition and relevant fees after having been certified and accepted for a candidate as evidence of admission.

6. Confirmation of Admission: The institute will issue the admission letter to candidates, who should also attend the orientation program and become familiar with the institute and its facilities.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research offers a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme and has an intake capacity of 100 seats. The admission process for B.Pharma is split into two categories:

  1. A-Category (70% of the seats): These seats are allotted by the Convener on the basis of merit in the AP EAMCET. Candidates who have appeared for AP EAMCET and have obtained a decent rank are eligible for these seats.
  2. B-Category (30% of the seats): These seats are earmarked for NRI and Management quota candidates. The admission procedure on these seats could be different and generally managed directly by the institution.

As above mentioned, the MIPER offers a scheme for lateral entry for diploma holders. Under this scheme, 10% of the intake, that is 10 seats, is reserved for diploma holders who can join the second year of B. Pharma directly. Admission in these cases is done on the basis of merit obtained in the AP ECET.

The B. Pharma program at MIPER is created to give students a good ground in pharmaceutical sciences concerning drug development, manufacturing, and management. The MIPER ensures personalized attention and quality education provided to each student along with a total strength of 143 studying and 34 members of faculty.
