The MR college of education Ashoknagar, a premier institution for teacher training located in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India, offers two most important programs in education namely B.Ed and D.El.Ed program. The admission process for MR College of Education selects worthy candidates on merit after following the rules set by the State Government of West Bengal and the University it is affiliated to.
The eligibility criteria for admission into the programs of MR College of Education depend on guidelines issued by the council, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as the college is approved by NCTE.
Application Process
The admission process for MR College of Education, Ashoknagar, proceeds as follows:
1. Admission Announcement: The college announces the opening of the admission process in various mediums such as their website and local newspapers.
2. Application: An application form must be duly filled out by the candidates, one would assume it to be available through the college website or with a personal visit to the admissions office of the college.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
The entire B.Ed program at MR College of Education has an approved 100 seats. Admission to the B.Ed course is fully on merit-basis, which includes the assessment of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process is in accordance with the policies of the state government and the affiliated university. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed program should have completed their bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from any recognized university.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The number of seats in D.El.Ed is also 100, that is, 100 seats approved by the government. The admission criteria for the D.El.Ed program are the same as in the B.Ed program, meaning admission will be based on marks secured in the qualifying and or entrance examination. The admission procedure is based on the regulations adopted by the state government and its university. Higher secondary (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized board is usually considered the eligibility to enroll in the D.El.Ed program.
