Hey,

The exam pattern of both the exams is little different.

CEED examination ( conducted by IIT , Bombay) consists of 2 sections- A and B. Section A will contain 41 questions and section be will contain 5 questions( 20 marks each question). Both section will be of 100 marks each. Part A will be computer based and B will be pen- paper based.

Part A will be a screening test and those who qualify part A will be evaluated for part B.

And for NIFT , the GAT paper for B.Des will consist of 100 questions and the total marks of examination is also 100. And for B.F.Tech, the number of questions will be 150. The exam is offline, paper based.

And CAT paper will consist of 3 questions and marks will be out of 100.
Admission in B.F.Tech will be fully based on GAT whereas for B.Des the weightage of CAT is 50% , GAT is 30% and situation test will be of 20%.

Though, the syllabus is quite similar for both the examinations (CEED And NIFT)
