Candidates interested in appearing for NIFT 2020, should be below 23 years as on October 1st, 2019. If you were born on October 16th, 1996, you are only 22 years and 11 months, Just a few days short of being 23. And this is for General Category students. Candidates belonging to SC,ST,PWD get 5 years relaxation. Eitherways, you fulfil the age criteria and so you can appear for NIFT 2020.

From 201920 onwards EWS(economically weaker section) is applicable in NIFT.
10% reservation will be granted to General Category students whose family annual income is lesser than 8 lakhs per annum.

No, You cannot do Certificate in creative fashion styling. You should pass either 10+2 from recognized board or 10+2 pass in diploma or have passed 10+2 with some work experience of about 2 years. You will be called for personal interview . Deepending upon the marks obtained in 10+2 diploma or 10+2 work experience and on your personal interview you will be selected.

Under NIFT entrance exam , there are two types of Courses namely B.des and B.F tech . To be eligible for Bdes you should have passed class 12 exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi in any stream, so being an arts student you are eligible for NIFT Bdes .
To be eligible for NIFT BFTECH one should have passed class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Having Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics is compulsory, so you are not eligible for BFTECH.
So, yes you are eligible for NIFT but for B.Des only.

The student no there is no negative marking in the next exam in this general aptitude test which consists of 150 questions and there is no negative marking in that section. Nandana 2 part is cat which is creative ability test and the test your ability for drawings and your skills in drawing. So no negative marking. I hope this was helpful

Basically the GAT exam is about Quantitative ability,
Communication ability, and English comprehension,
Analytical and Logical Ability,
General Knowledge and Current Affairs. There's no particular book for this. For general knowledge and current affairs study newspaper regularly. In communication ability and english comprehension, questions from singular, plural, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitutes, words with corresponding meanings, etc. are asked.

As per the eligibility, You should be of 23 years of age as on October 1, 2019. Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person with Disability (PHP) get an age relaxation of five years to apply for NIFT 2020 Entrance Exam.

The college infrastructure is great. The library is really good and has air conditioning. the college doesnt have sports centre or hostel. the canteen served food is fine. but there is not much cleanliness in the canteen. overall the college is fine except some issues.
