Hello Riddhi
If you consider any NIFT's then yes it is possible but if you consider thetop NIFT's like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata then it will be quite difficult.
Considering last year cutoff's then the closing rank was 45 for NIFT Delhi, 120 for Mumbai, 165 for bengaluru and 230 or 240 for Kolkata.
So other than these above mentioned you can get NIFT's like Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Chennai and other which are lower ranked.
Hello Aditi
With this rank you are eligible but not for the top NIFTS's like NIFT Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata .
Consider Kolkata as 50-50 chance.
I am only saying these things considering last year's cutoff's.
Last year the closing rank was 45 for Delhi, 120 for Mumbai, 167 for Bangalore and 230 for Kolkata.
So, on this basis Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Kolkata and Chennai are the top most preferred with this rank.
Hello Shivam,
I'm sorry to inform you that you wouldn't get admission in NIFT Patna, or any other NIFT centre for that matter.
The cut-off list of 2017 (Last merit rank admitted):
Your common category rank, 966, is nowhere close to the premier colleges; the two NIFTs, Kannur and Patna, which have lowest cut-offs, are good 300 ranks away. GAT exam is not only valuable for the entrance in NIFTs, but there are several other colleges who accept the GAT ranks as well. NIFT is, without a doubt, the best institutions in the country for anything fashion-related, and it develops the best fashion designers in the market.
Following are some of the college where GAT score is mandatory, or is one of the eligibility criteria:
On side note, had 966 been your rank in B.des, you'd have become eligible to get admission in many of the NIFT institutions. Remember, like IITs, IIMs and any other elite colleges, not getting selected into NIFT is also not the end of the world. It's your skills, dedication and passion for the work that matters and last you in the field.
Best of luck.
Hello Kaavyajagan
If you consider the cutoff's of last year then the closing rank was around 170 for NIFT bangalore, 220 for NIFT Hyderabad and 350 for NIFT Chennai.
So, aacording to this trend you can easily get NIFT Chennai or Hyderabad.
The problem will arise with NIFT Bangalore.

Hello Muzakkir
Chances are pretty less to be honest.
Now you will ask me how am i so sure as the cutoff's are not released yet. Yes, i know but if you consider last or last to last year's cutoff's then it will be quite clear.
The closing rank was 550(General) for NIFT Kannur(least preferred) last year. So, you can see the difference.

The college infrastructure is great. The library is really good and has air conditioning. the college doesnt have sports centre or hostel. the canteen served food is fine. but there is not much cleanliness in the canteen. overall the college is fine except some issues.
