• NGM UG College admission shall be based on the merit of the qualifying exam that is based on the aggregate marks scored in class 12.

• Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying exam and the shortlisted candidates have to appear for a Personal Interview and qualify it.

• Aspirants qualifying the interview have to participate in the institute level document verification and fee payment in order to confirm their admission.

• Fulfil NGM College's eligibility criteria for the desired programME and submit the application form through the college website.

• Shortlisting of candidates is determined by their marks in the qualifying exam.

NGM College Admission Process 2026 for MPhil/ PhD Courses

• Candidates meeting NGM College's PhD programmes eligibility criteria must submit their application form along with required documents via Bharathiar University.

• Applicants are required to appear and clear the Common Eligibility Test (CET) as part of the admission process at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College.

• Exemptions from CET include candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/SET/GATE, scientists at DRDO/Faculty of Air Force Administrative College, holders of M.Phil., teacher fellowship holders (like FIP and FDP), and eligible candidates of foreign origin with prescribed qualifications.

• For M.Phil. admission, exemptions from CET apply to candidates with qualifications.

• Candidates must clear the entrance exam and those qualifying must proceed to the interview stage and pass it.

• PhD applicants who pass the interview stage are required to participate in university-level document verification and fee payment.

• Final admission is contingent upon performance in the entrance exam, interview, completion of document verification, and fee payment.
