Omshree Mahavidyalaya is affiliated college in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh which has been established in the year of 2008 only. This institution gets its approval from the National Council for Teacher Education – NCTE and is a speciality college offering a variety of programs in teacher education. Located in a small plot area of 0.64988 acres, the college provides a personalised learning atmosphere to students who wish to become teachers. Currently, the colleges has a faculty of fourteen committed educationists; Omshree Mahavidyalaya aims at developing teachers for the future. At the moment, the college has only one degree program, namely the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which is in line with the college’s core mandate, that is nurturing teachers.

The college has some special place that was put into practice with an aim in improving the students’ performance. The library as one of the main centers of academic resources contains a wide number of books, encyclopedias and journals; 4, 132 books, 10 encyclopedias, and 15,5 journals. For sport development and recreation sports facilities are provided for everybody within the institution. It also values technological development with sound IT facilities, making a point to prepare students for the modern world. Moreover, fixing it with relevant departments, the laboratories also help in the practical experience, which is a necessity for teacher training.

Omserria’s flagship offering is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme on which the college has built its strategic leadership. This is a two-year full-course program with an approved capacity for 100 students intake. The B.Ed programme envisages to enable graduating student teach effectively, possessing all the essential pedagogy knowledge. This keeps the college strategically specialized in this particular program, hence providing the necessary depth in training teachers.

Admission policy of Omshree Mahavidyalaya in compliance with the policies of State Government of Madhya Pradesh. On the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and / or entrance examination admissions are given purely on merit. It shall also teach select other processes in consonance with states’ requirements. This approach makes it possible for deserving persons to have a chance to achieve their teaching dreams at Omshree Mahavidyalaya.
