OCAS Taliparamba, the College of Applied Sciences, Taliparamba, is an affiliated college that offers undergraduate programmes in the applied sciences and the management education. The mode is simple and merit-based for OCAS Taliparamba admissions to make room for deserving candidates in their desired courses. OCAS admissions employs a very simple procedure as per the rules and regulations prescribed by the parent university.

At OCAS Taliparamba, there are 9 full-time undergraduate programmes across the various disciplines. Each year, OCAS admissions are processed and the academic year starts about June or July. 

The application process for OCAS Taliparamba contains the following:

• The college initiates the process of admission by announcing in its official website and local media.
• The candidates are required to obtain and fill the application form.
• Completed application forms must be accompanied by necessary documents.
• Completed application forms along with all required documents must be submitted to the college office before the specified deadline.
• On performance of the candidates in the qualifying exam, along with any other criteria as prescribed for each programme, a merit list is prepared.
• For the courses applied for, the applicants selected are then called for counselling and given the chance to select the course according to his/her merit rank and availability.
• All selected candidates will pay the requisite fees to be processed for the final admission of a qualifying candidate.

Generally, a student is selected based on academic performance scored in his or her qualifying examination such as the 12th standard or equivalent.

OCAS B.Com Admission Process

Two B.Com programmes offered by OCAS Taliparamba include B.Com Computer Applications and B.Com Co-Operation. Admission for these programmes is determined according to the candidate's performance on the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) with reference to commerce subjects. The length of the programme is three years.

OCAS B.Sc Admission Process

B.Sc Programmes: The college provides five B.Sc programmes: B.Sc Bio-Informatics, B.Sc Electronics and Communication, B.Sc Physics, B.Sc Microbiology, and B.Sc Information Technology. Each course requires a firm foundation in science subjects at the 10+2 level for the entry into the programme. Each programme incorporates knowledge in the respective field which is in-depth over a period of three years.

OCAS BBA Admission Process

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The programme offered at OCAS Taliparamba was meant for students interested in  management studies. Admission into the programme is based on the candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination, with preference to those from commerce and related subjects.

OCAS BCA Admission Process

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The preferred candidates are those who have a strong inclination towards computer Science as well as Mathematics. The selection exercise considers the marks obtained from the qualifying examination especially in the relevant subjects.

OCAS Documents Required

Candidates must be accompanied by necessary documents, which usually include:

• Marksheets of qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent)
• Transfer Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Passport size photographs
• Any other certificates or documents found relevant per the specification of the college
