there is two process, one is you need to participate in the counselling process by anna university, secondly you can do for direct admission process by management quota, however according to students review cutoff of diploma courses for 2ndd year btech admission is 96% or more  for  general category applicant. For BC/MBC it is  more than 94%. For SCA/SC/ST more than 92 is required as per previous years cutoff.

mtech admission in anna university and affiliated colleges is done by either gate score or tancet score, however at this score you have less chances for top colleges of anna university. however you may participate in tanca counselling by your gate score. however I would suggest you to also apply for bits hd exam, vitmee exam for mtech admission.

In order to get the admission most of the Institutes require students to qualify the entrance exam .Eligibility they demand is aspirant must have cleared their 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 55 percent or equivalent examination like holding diploma in same or in automation technology for appearing in these entrance examinations

With this marks and percentile there is very skim chances of getting psg because the cutt off marks are as follows

1) gemral- 37.5

2) obc - 35.5

3) sc/st- 20.5
So if your daughter belong to sc/ st category then she has a chance otherwise not.

Both psgct and psgim are affiliated to anna university in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Both offers mba course.

Psgct offers engineering and other courses as well apart from mba like mca, be, msc, diploma courses, etc.

But psgim only offers mba, pg diploma & phd program.

As per past records the placements for mba are better in psgct.

As you wanted to do master degree in the power electronics and drives and goot decision as it has more demand in future and PSG is the top most college which is autonomous college and it is affiliated by Anna university and Amrita is also the one of the top most institute and both the colleges are good to do that course probably check accordingly  PSG is comparatively good according to the quality of education and studyatmosphere so prefer this and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.
