The college infrastructure is quite good and meets the expectations for a decent academic environment. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors and fans, and most of the buildings have proper ventilation. The library is well-stocked with academic books and journals and offers a quiet place to study. The laboratories are functional with the necessary equipment for practicals, though some instruments may need upgrading. WiFi is available on campus but sometimes has connectivity issues. The hostel facilities are decent, with proper cleanliness and basic amenities. The food in the mess is hygienic, and the living spaces are cleaned regularly. Sports facilities like a basketball court and football ground are also available. Overall, the infrastructure is well-maintained and student-friendly.
I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in B.Sc Mathematics Hons. at this college. The quality of teaching is generally good—most of the professors are well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. They explain concepts clearly, and some even use real-life examples or presentations to make topics more understandable. However, there can be a lack of consistency, as a few faculty members are not as engaging. The curriculum is decent and covers the core subjects thoroughly. While it's mostly aligned with university guidelines, it could benefit from more practical or job-oriented skills, especially in areas like research, software tools, or industry exposure. Still, if you take initiative, the college provides enough academic support to help you succeed. Overall, the academic environment is balanced and encourages learning.
The placement scenario at our college is decent, with several reputed companies visiting the campus every year. Around 60–70% of eligible students get placed, mainly from the Computer Science, IT, and Management courses. The highest package offered last year was around ₹12 LPA, which went to a student from the B.Tech CSE branch. The average salary package generally ranges between ₹3.5 LPA and ₹5 LPA. The placement cell is supportive and conducts regular training sessions, mock interviews, and aptitude tests to prepare us for campus drives. The overall placement process was smooth and well-organized. For students who are proactive and consistent, the college provides good opportunities.
My course costs around 16000 per year, which is quite affordable compared to many other colleges. The facilities, faculty, and learning experience make it worth the price. We have access to good classrooms, a library, and regular seminars. Although there could be more modern infrastructure or placement support, the low fees and overall learning experience justify the cost. I do feel I’m getting my money’s worth, especially considering the reputation and academic focus of the college.
The campus life at our college is vibrant and enjoyable. The best feature is the spacious and green campus which creates a peaceful environment for studies and relaxation. There are many spots to hang out with friends, like the canteen and open lawns. The college regularly organizes cultural events, fests, seminars, and sports competitions which keep students engaged and energetic. One of the drawbacks is that some areas of the campus could be maintained better, especially the older buildings and washrooms. The students are friendly and cooperative, and the seniors are helpful too. Teachers are approachable and supportive, always ready to help outside class hours. The non-teaching staff is also polite and efficient. The college is located in a safe and accessible area, with easy connectivity by public transport. The security on campus is good, with guards present at all major entry points. There’s also a medical room to handle minor emergencies.
I would definitely recommend this college to others. It provides a good learning environment, experienced faculty, and plenty of opportunities for growth through extracurricular activities and events. The campus is safe, and the support staff is helpful. Overall, it's a great place to begin your college journey.
Good infrastructure I would say , the look and feel of the building is cool and vibey. The new building is definitely way better than the old building and really gives a great feel considering the fact that it's not air conditioned.
Academics are okay like some teachers are really strict about the completion of their syllabus on time, taking class tests and quizzes in regular intervals but one harsh truth in college is that you have to put in your effort at home to match any teacher's pace and self studying is important in addition to attending classes.
I haven't sit for placements so I don't know much about it but as far as I've Heard they're kind of average in Ramjas College, like you can expect decent packages , average package is also good but no extraordinary opportunities when compared to the placements of other colleges.
This is definitely a value for money college because For a fees they charge (less than even 17k a year) , the facilities provided are quite decent , be it the consideration of library, sports ground , the overall infrastructure, environment and maintenance.
Campus life is good. You can really enjoy yourselves by sitting the evening out in different different places for having different conversations like there's a spot for everything in Ramjas you can say. Dosa is a must try from canteen!
It is q beautiful college with a lot of greenery around. The structure is beautifully buillt however it doesn’t have acs or net. During summers, very difficult to stay for long time. No smart boards.
The professor’s are great. You learn from people around you. The environment is great as people are excited to learn and grow. The professors help you on each step. Seniors are there to help as well.
In college placement requires a boost up, the process is slow and tedious. However the brand name allows to get off campus placement quite easily. In college can be improved, it is neglected. The placements can be better if people start respecting the cell more.
My course only costs 17,000. And in such less money the experience and facilities are quite great. Saving money reduces pressure on my parents and me. Also allows me to save up for future studies
Love the children there, the societies, the continuous college events. The fact that you can learn something from everyone around. Great place to grow and learn. The people around are great.
Live it. Love it
The college library is well-stocked with a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources, making it a valuable academic asset. The science departments have access to functional laboratories, though upgrades in equipment and facilities would further enhance research opportunities. Wi-Fi is available on campus, but connectivity can be inconsistent at times. Sports infrastructure is commendable, with a large ground for football, cricket, and athletics, as well as indoor facilities for games like table tennis and badminton. The auditorium and seminar halls are functional, hosting regular events, debates, and cultural fests. The college also offers decent hostel facilities for both boys and girls, although seats are limited.
The curriculum follows the structure laid out by Delhi University, and while it is academically rigorous, the teaching approach at Ramjas is generally student-friendly. Internal assessments, assignments, and regular tutorials help students stay engaged and deepen their understanding of core concepts. Ramjas also promotes research and academic engagement through seminars, workshops, and guest lectures by renowned scholars. Departments such as Political Science, English, History, and Physics are particularly well-regarded for their academic excellence.
Ramjas College offers decent placement opportunities, especially for students from commerce, economics, and management-related courses. The college’s placement cell, “Pinnacle,” is active and organizes training sessions, webinars, and recruitment drives throughout the year. Top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Wipro, Zomato, and Accenture regularly visit the campus, offering roles in consulting, finance, operations, and sales. The highest salary package has reportedly reached around ₹19–23 LPA, while the average package for most students ranges between ₹5–8 LPA. In 2023, the median package was approximately ₹6 LPA for undergraduates. However, placements are more competitive and streamlined for commerce students compared to those from arts or science backgrounds, who often have to rely on off-campus or external opportunities.
Despite the low fees, students receive access to qualified faculty, a well-stocked library, decent infrastructure, and a vibrant academic and extracurricular environment. Courses like B.Com (Hons), Economics (Hons), and Political Science (Hons) are particularly strong, offering high returns in terms of placements, post-graduate opportunities, and UPSC preparation. The college also offers access to internships, seminars, and placement drives without any additional cost, helping students build valuable career experience. Even hostel fees are minimal compared to private institutions.
Campus life at Ramjas College is vibrant, inclusive, and filled with opportunities for personal and social growth. As one of the oldest and most diverse colleges under Delhi University, Ramjas attracts students from all parts of India, creating a multicultural and dynamic environment. The college has a wide range of active societies and clubs covering dramatics (DramSoc), music (Musoc), dance (Spardha), debating (DebSoc), photography, literature, and more. These societies frequently organize events, workshops, and inter-college competitions, allowing students to explore talents beyond academics. The annual fest “Moments” is one of the highlights, drawing large crowds with energetic performances and celebrity appearances.
No
Infrastructure is really nice. In fact it's the only college of Delhi University to have a building with 6 floors. The labs are pretty decent with required equipments. All science lab classes go smoothly.
My course academics are pretty strict. No proxy scene. The classes are conducted quite regularly and it's mandatory to attend. The attendance really matters and the teaching is also fine. The teachers do take the effort.
I don't think we get any placements. The placement cell is dead and there are barely any placements from college. Everyone who has a job has tapped it off campus by their own effort and dedication. It's bad.
I think the fees is fine and pretty affordable by everyone
Campus life is pretty happening. There's some or other event going on every other day.
Infrastructure is fine but needs some improvement. Some renovation is needed if they want the students to be happy. ACs should also be installed in the College. A major improvement in Canteen is needed
I am studying B.Sc math. hons. here. the faculty of Good but some of the teachers don't co-operate at all. Our Curriculum is updated and and teachers teach really well. Accessing the books in the library is hard sometimes.
Placements are average, and also don't expect too much from it. The only pro about Ramjas is it is in North Campus which helps in placements a lot. For the course I am in, there is good number of campus placements of the students doing Acturial Science with it
It is a government college, therefore definitely value for money. If you pickup any government college it's fees will be minimal (20-30k) a year. And you'll get a lot of facilities for it, also library facility provided is extremely good
Campus life is good, but the con about Ramjas is it is very active politically. During the time of elections, college becomes a mess. Random stuff going on in the campus, any random person entering the campus
As compared to other colleges of North Campus, Ramjas' infrastructure is above average. Library and water facilities work perfectly. However classes in old building are not so good and lack basic facilities like good chairs and tables.
Top notch! Faculty especially in Mathematics Department is excellent. However the curriculam is not updated as per the current market demands. There is no inclination towards financial markets where mathematics really valued.
Placement scenario is not great, mostly students target off campus placements. However the placement cell is working hard and trying to improve the cuurent scenario. Still the things are really far in some sense.
For exposure and networking opportunitues, the college is really great and is value for money for sure! We can meet and. Collaborate with folks of other nearby colleges for competions or startup idea or networking in general.
Campus life is awesome, espcially spending time with friends in lawns and preparing for competions in old block! Performances in amphitheatre during the fests is something one cannot miss at all. The college life is really vibrant.
Pretty much everything has been covered!
college infrastructure is quite aesthetic and good! airy classrooms, air conditioned library and many spacious lawns are there to refresh yourself . washrooms are really cleaned and there is a huge sports complex to where gym facilities are also available .
faculty is good and lenient they are really very helpful and understanding and ever ready to resolve all your doubts . they will not only help you in study but some are really good at giving helpful advices regarding career paths and other issues .
placement support in all over du only is not that great so same goes in ramjas , placement is basically a thing that depends on an individual's skills and capabilities . You should try to develop your skills by finding off campus internships which are easily available because of the legacy of the college .
it's probably the top college in india when it comes to ROI. fees is 16k-17k but the placements are atleast any day more than that if we see both on campus and off campus .So if anyone is financially not that strong delhi university is the way to go.
Campus life is good but the crowd is mixed people involved too much in politics pollute the overall atmosphere of the college but overall you might find good and helpful people to hangout with . Regular events and fests in the sociities take place to make the college look more livelier . Each day something or the other is always going on so its never a boring place to be in. It's always a fun place to be in but just that too many people in the college are involved in politics whoch makes the college seem a bit unsafe for people to enter especially during the election period.
My overall experience till now has been good .
Personally their infrastructure is good, and the amount of greenery there is makes it more special and the red brick style walls makes it look old which has its own charm. The classrooms are spacious and their laboratories have all the equipment required for a student
It has a strong academic reputation as we all know it is famous for science, commerce and humanities. It also has high cut off which shows how hard it is to get admission in this college. The quality of teaching here is excellent
The placement cell of it is run by a team of students under faculty supervision, and according to the seniors the b.com(hons) and economic (hons) students get the best placement offers from companies like Deloitte, accenture, byjus, etc
Studying in this college in less money is the best decision you’ll make because of the quality of education is much better than private colleges with much more experienced teachers with in depth knowledge
Campus life is the one thing you will love there so many fest of people with different cultures where they represent their cultures and fashion. The people here are from all over india. Here you’ll grow academically and personally
If you get this college and thinking about wether you should come here or not. Then let me answer that You’ll enjoy the people here the, the college and fests and I guarantee you YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
It offers a clean, well-maintained campus with modern classrooms, equipped labs and a resourceful library. Basic sports facilities and separate hostels are available. Campus is green and peaceful, with plenty of trees and open space
The political science faculty is experienced. The syllabus is well structured. Faculty are approachable and encourage active participation. Classes are interactive with presentations and regular assignments being given.
There is no dedicated recruitment drive for political science honours students. Jobs mainly in internships, media, NGOs and think tanks. The course is better suited for those aiming at civil services, policy making , journalism etc. rather than direct corporate placements.
The fees is quite reasonable for the quality of faculty, campus enviornment provided. Ramjas college offers good value for money. The college's strong reputation and active societies add to the overall student experience.
Campus life is vibrant and engaging. You get to make friends with people from different backgrounds. The college has a diverse student body and clubs, societies, cultural events etc. Students actively participate in debates, sports etc.
Hello,
For undergraduate programme in Ramjas college, first you need to register on the official site of Delhi University. Registration will proceed once you do the payment. Then you can select Ramjas college for which merit list will be published by the officials on the basis of the marks scored in the 12th examinations. There is also an exam conducted DUET by NTA. By which you can also grab the seat.
Hope this helps.
Hi
Ramjas college admits students on the basis of their 12th score. Cut-offs usually go high and mostly above 90% in boards is required. There is no entrance conducted right now for BA History.
Hope this helps!
