Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal, famed for imparting various pharmacy education. The institute admits students based on merit on a merit basis ensuring that eligible candidates have the privilege to pursue their Pharmaceutical education. Approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Sahasra Institute offers programs for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs relating to Pharmacy. Admission usually starts immediately after the announcement of the results from the entrance exam. For B.Pharma admissions, the specific ranks of applicants are considered mainly from the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). 

This examination takes place in April-May each year, then the results are proclaimed in June.  To qualify for B.Pharma, the student must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as core subjects. A B.Pharma graduate from a recognized university qualifies for M.Pharma. Candidates admitted for Pharm.D must be under the condition of passing their 10+2 level educational qualification in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

Entrance tests accepted by Sahasra Institute:

1. TS EAMCET for B.Pharma
2. GPAT for M.Pharma
3. TS PGECET for M.Pharma

The institute follows the government reservation policies according to the norms of the Telangana State Government.

Application Process

The application procedure depending on program was quite different for Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Most Specializations.

For B.Pharma:

1. Clear TS EAMCET exam (usually conducted during April-May).
2. Register for TS EAMCET counseling once results are out.
3. Counsel on the institute and B.Pharma course.
4. Report to the institute in case of allotment for document verification and admission.

For M.Pharma and Pharm.D:

1. Take GPAT (a national-based exam) and/or TS PGECET (usually held in June).
2. Register for web counseling with GPAT and TS PGECET ranks.
3. During counseling, select Sahasra Institute and the preferred specialization.
4. If allotted a seat, admission will then be completed at the institute.

For management quota admission:

1. Direct application to the institute after the entrance exam results are published.
2. Provision of academic records and entrance exam scores (if applicable).
3. Waiting for selection on the merit of the intermediate examination for B.Pharma or B.Pharmacy marks for M.Pharma/Pharm.D. 

The selection is done through counseling-based allotment of seats purely on merit for seats under the government quota, others under management quota seats which may be done by a selection process of the Institute based on academic performance and entrance exam scores.

Degree-wise Admission Process 

B.Pharma: Admission to the 4-year B.Pharma program depends mainly on the TS EAMCET ranks. The course has 60 seats. 70% is allocated through TS EAMCET counseling, while 30% are opened to management entry based on merit from the intermediate examination or state government directives.

M.Pharma: Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis are two M.Pharma programs offered by Sahasra Institute, and each program contains 30 seats. Admission is based on GPAT and TS PGECET ranks. 70% of the seats are filled through GPAT and TS PGECET counseling. The remaining 30% will go to a management quota based on TS PGECET rank or B.Pharmacy percentage marks.

Pharm.D: 6-year Pharm.D program has 25 seats. Admissions are similar to M.Pharma concerning GPAT and TS PGECET ranks for 70% of seats, 30% being filled up via management quota.

The required documents for admission typically include:

• Mark sheets and certificates for 10th and 12th standards.
• Entrance exam score card (TS EAMCET/GPAT/TS PGECET).
• Transfer certificate.
• Migration certificate (where applicable).
• Caste certificate (in case of reserved students).
• Recent passport-size photographs.
