Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem, is a government institution providing various courses in arts and commerce. The college is located at Virnoda, Pernem, Goa. It is a NAAC-accredited college and has government recognition by the Government of India.  The admission procedure at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College is structured so that it is open and based on merit. It has 13 subcourses in 7 different degree programs such as Marathi, Commerce, and Business Management to name but a few. Generally, the admissions are usually open during the month of June-July, although these dates are different every year from the official notices.

For undergraduate programs, students who passed their 10+2 education from a recognized board can apply. The college considers the mark obtained in the qualifying examination for a given course, which is referred to as the 12th standard in India. For those seeking entry to postgraduate programs, the candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in that discipline from a recognized university. Degree-wise Admission Process

BA and BA (Hons) - A BA in a combination of subjects is offered by the college, including BA Hindi Hons and BA Marathi Hons. Admission to these programs is based on the marks scaled up in the 12th standard examination. These programs have a duration of 3 years.

B.Com and B.Com (Hons): Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College also has B.Com programs with topics such as Financial Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting, and Business Management. The admission policy of the college is based on the performance in 12th standard with specialization in commerce or other related subjects.

M.Com: M.Com programs offered for Accounting and Finance, Business Management are also on the list of the proximity of the college. Any candidate who has completed graduation in Commerce and related fields is eligible for application. Admission may consider graduation marks and then have the entrance test or interview.

MA Marathi: To be eligible for the MA Marathi program, an applicant should have a bachelor's degree with Marathi as one of the subjects. This is how candidates are evaluated, with respect to their performance in their undergraduate program in Marathi.

Ph.D. Programs: The college has doctoral programs in Commerce and Marathi. Students with a master's degree in the appropriate discipline are normally allowed admission. It also includes an entrance test and interview, followed by scrutinizing a student's proposal.
