Saveetha Dental College, Chennai Admission Process

Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, and it is now a glowring institution for excellence in dental education. It offers a variety of undertakings, that is, undergraduate (BDS ) and postgraduate (MDS ) degree programs in all dental specialties. Admission procedures at Saveetha Dental College are designed to select the most qualified candidates thorough national-level entrance examination. Saveetha Dental College considers undergraduate admission on the basis of the NEET-UG scores while postgraduate admissions depend on the NEET MDS. Such common standard tests ensure fair and competitive admissions among prospects for the dental profession. Saveetha Dental College usually opens its session in August-September.

For MDS Programs:

  1. Appearing at the NEET MDS Administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
  2. The qualifying score for admission at NEET MDS is cut off or above.
  3. Register for the counseling process as directed by the Dental Council of India or the respective state's counseling authority.
  4. Select Saveetha Dental College and corresponding specialty during counseling.
  5. Reporting to the college for the admission process, including document verification and fee payment.

Degree wise Admission Process

BDS- NEET-UG score selection entirely creates the element of admission into 5 years BDS of Saveetha Dental College, which can accommodate 100 seats. Candidates will have to qualify in NEET-UG and then follow the counseling process for seat allocation.

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS): MDS of Saveetha Dental College follows a curriculum of 3 years with MDS courses in nine specials. Admission to these nine MDS courses is based on NEET MDS. Admission specialties and their nests are as follows:

  1. MDS Periodontics: 5 seats
  2. MDS Oral surgery: 7 seats
  3. MDS Oral Pathology: 5 seats
  4. MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics: 8 seats
  5. MDS Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics: 7 seats
  6. MDS Prosthodontics: 6 seats
  7. MDS Oral medicine: 5 seats
  8. MDS Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry: 5 seats
  9. MDS Public Health Dentistry: 3 seats

Once a candidate qualifies NEET MDS, the counseling process must be undertaken for accessing admission to those courses.
