Savitri Women’s college, bhanjanagar which was started in the year 1981, affiliated to Berhampur University is situated in the college ganjam district of Odisha state. It is a women’s institution and has been accredited in 2002 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is sprawling over 5 acres of campus and offers 13 courses in four degree programmes primarily in arts and science. The college has a total student capacity of 1,360 and has a faculty of 13 cooperatively to serve the young women. 

In as much as extra curricular activities are of importance in molding the students, Savitri Women’s college boasts of various facilities that enable the students to improve their farming skills. Located within the college and opened only during college hours, there is collection of books for students to borrow with system that allow students to have fair usage of the books. Laboratories available are sufficiently equipped to meet practical demands of the various department with teaching facilities. It also has one hundred of sitting capacity hall for academic lecture and cultural activities hence making the college lively. These include a canteen that provides foods and drinks during college hours, a browsing centre with 10 computers connected with the Internet.

Savitri Women’s College has in total thirteen programmes, all of which are based on a full-time basis. The programme focuses on offering a variety of courses in all the arts and sciences disciplines hence giving students many choices. The institution offers diversified specialisations of Political Science, Odia, Home Science, History, Education, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, and Botany.
