The School of Technology and Applied Sciences (M.G. University) – Kottayam, stands as a newer institution recognised for its excellence in technology and applied sciences. The School of Technology and Applied Sciences admission process is particularly oriented towards gifted undergraduates and graduate students. Keeping in mind the ideal of justice for all deserving students, the institute has initiated grading and standard admission procedures that place no student at a disadvantage in securing admission. Different procedures are enacted by the School of Technology and Applied Sciences for admission to undergraduate courses. The University Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) fills 50 per cent of the seats, while the remaining 50 per cent are based on a merit list prepared by the Centralised Project for Admission to Schools (CPAS). In this way, the college satisfies the fair admission of all kinds of well-versed students.
While the School of Technology and Applied Sciences admission process for postgraduate students, especially for the MCA programme, depends solely on the ranking achieved by him or her in the common entrance test, this test is conducted via the Computerised Admission System (CPAS) and gives rise to a Common Rank List recognised for admission. To name a few: BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Cyber Forensic, MCA, and MSc Cyber Forensic are the major courses of study carried out by the School of Technology and Applied Sciences. Requirements to join these courses normally include the passing of grade 12 for undergraduates, while graduation degrees in relevant subjects are needed for admission into postgraduate courses. However, the qualification criteria may change from one programme to another.
The application method at STAS Kottayam varies according to its programmes and admission category:
The college provides five courses in total.
Bachelor of Computer Applications: This is the largest of the programmes, with a capacity of 60 students. Admission proceeds as per other undergraduate programmes, via an equal split between CAP and CPAS rank lists.
This MCA will have 30 seats and will not have candidates receiving admission through the conditions of an entrance test; instead, it will be strictly on the basis of the rank obtained by candidates in the common entrance test conducted via CPAS.
M.Sc. Cyber Forensic is taking in a total of 20 students. Notably, 50% of its seats (10) shall be reserved for graduates of B.Sc. Cyber Forensic, while the other half will be taken from the PG Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) of the university.
The necessary documents must be provided to complete the School of Technology and Applied Sciences admission process.
I am quite good in academics right from school..So the academic part wasn't very difficult for me, I could handle it very smoothly without much pressure. Faculties will guide you very well so don't worry.
