SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital. It is one of the premier places in South India for learning and practicing Ayurveda. It is an affiliated institution with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, offering a full-scale BAMS. Application Process

2. NEET Result: Once the result of the NEET is declared, the candidates will be eligible for entry into the SDM Institute.

3. Application Submission: The candidates, who are eligible, should download the application form from the official website of the SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital. All personal and academic details of the candidates have to be filled in the application form.

4. Document Submission: Along with the application, candidates submit all the required documents; few of them are:

  • NEET score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheet
  • Birth certificate
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Passport-size photographs taken within a month

5. Application Review: The admission committee of the institute checks and verifies all documents submitted by applicants.

6. Merit List Published: A merit list is generated and published at the institute's website through NEET score and seats vacant in the institute.

7. Counseling and Seat Allocation: There will be counseling based on the merit list and the preference of the candidates for each one. The seats will be allocated following the counseling process.

8. Payment of Fees and Admission Confirmation: All those candidates, whose admission gets confirmed, need to pay the fee as prescribed by the college in the given time scale.

BAMS: The flagship program of SDM Institute of Ayurveda and Hospital, Bengaluru, is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). It is an integrated six-year course training students in all aspects of Ayurvedic principles and practices. The institute has an approved intake of 100 students for this course, thereby maintaining a controlled admission ratio for quality education.

The admission in BAMS takes place solely based on the performance of a candidate in NEET examinations. The candidates need to have qualified their 10+2 examination with core subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Selection on the basis of exams is strictly based on merit; no discrimination of any candidate; only the best deserving candidates get selected.

Ayurveda is nowadays trending because of its less side effects medicines and treatments. Academically this college is so good. It is the best college to study. Faculties here are so helping amd supporting. They will always there to guide you. Faculties are well qualified. They arrange many seminars and bed side visit to the hospital for a good clinical experience.

BAMS is Bachelor is Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery which is 5.5 years of course with compulsory 1 year of internship included. Cut off prediction can be difficult for a particular course or college since it keeps on changing every year. However looking at previous year's cut off trends candidates from OBC category required minimum 45th percentile in NEET for admission in BAMS in government college. Accordingly your score should be around 350-380+ to get admission in government college. You can apply through state quota as well if you belong to that particular state, according to the state counseling 85% seats are reserved for state quota, this might increase chances of your admission. Eligibility
12th standard with science or any other equivalent examination recognized by concerned State Government and Education board provided the candidate passes the examination with 50% aggregate marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
For Foreign Students, any other equivalent qualification approved by the university will be allowed.
Eligibility in National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is mandatory,candidate should be qualified in
National Eligibility Entrance Test for BAMS (NEET)
All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) for MD/ MS (Ayu).
Even for NRI quota, the candidate should be qualified in NEET / AIAPGET

There is a good job opportunity in the field of Ayurveda.
An Ayurvedic practitioner can get employment as medical officer/doctor at government and private Ayurvedic hospitals.
One can also start his/ her own practice or open ones own retail shop of Ayurveda medicines.
They can also find employment as supervisors in 'Panch Karma' ( Ayurvedic massage) / health centers, as tutors in Ayurvedic colleges or do research, conduct workshops, seminars, and retreats.
Pay scale:
Salary in this sector depends on the employer and experience one has in the field.

With the marks of 200 in NEET 2021 , getting a government college seat for BAMS is not at all possible also through SC category. However getting a seat in private college might be quite possible enough . So you may try to opt for SDM  college for BAMS which has a good possibility.
