General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time diploma program offered by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Chandigarh. and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


Eligibility Criteria

The minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 yrs and 35 yrs respectively.

Minimum Education:-

(i)

10+2 class passed or it's equivalent preferable with science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) subjects with an aggregate of 45% marks.

(ii)

Those who have cleared 10+2, vocational A.N.M. course from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

(iii)

A.N.M. training :- i.e. 10+1 / yrs. training should also have passed 2 equivalent examinations.

3.

The student shall be medically fit. A medical checkup of every student will be conducted by skilled doctors.

4.

There will be an “entrance test” to be conducted by the S.G.L. Nursing admission committee which the candidate has to pass.
