The State Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences (SINPS), Badal. The admission process aims to admit the selected qualified undergraduates and postgraduates, besides certain diploma-level programs in health care specializations. The normal admission cycle follows that of commencing an academic program generally around August-September. Most undergraduate admission takes place through entrance examinations undertaken by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS). For most B.Sc Nursing courses, the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET) is the major test.
For example, for postgraduate programs such as M.Sc in Nursing specializations, admissions are based on candidate submissions to the Punjab M.Sc Nursing Entrance Test (PMNET), also conducted by BFUHS. Varied eligibility criteria exist for the programs. Primarily, an undergraduate program requires completion of relevant 10+2 courses. Most postgraduate courses specify that the candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant area. Each specific course has greater specificity in determining eligibility, ensuring candidates have proper entries to the academic program they will pursue.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc Nursing: For admission, candidates must take the Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET), which is conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot. There are 50 seats under this program.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This program avails admissions through an entrance test conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot. The program has 20 seats.
BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): Based on merit from 10 plus two, through centralized counseling, admission into the course is done. It has available 15 seats.
M.Sc Nursing Specializations comprise M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing, M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing, M.Sc Community Health Nursing, and M.Sc Peadiatric Nursing and M.Sc Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing. Admission to all these specializations is based on the Punjab M.Sc Nursing Entrance Test (PMNET) conducted by BFUHS, Faridkot. Each specialization offers 5 seats.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): Admit on 10+2 merit, with 50 seats.
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife): Admission is conducted on 10+2 merit. It has an intake capacity of 40.
Diploma Courses: For example, the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and Diploma in Radiography. Both are on the basis of 10+2 merit and have 20 and 10 seats, respectively.
B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology: Admission for this course is based on 10+2 merit through centralized counseling. The course offers a total of 10 seats.
