Helping students by reviewing my college

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure of SSCBS is awesome, when I see it from outside it seems like 5 start hotel. It has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The whole building is WiFi equipped and fully Air-conditioned, classrooms are equipped with modern technologies but the canteen area is small but hygienic.

    Academics

As a BMS student at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS), I can confidently say that the academic experience here is outstanding. The teaching quality is truly top-notch, with professors who are deeply dedicated to their subjects and to the success of their students.Classes are conducted in a well-structured manner, and the syllabus is always completed on time, which allows ample time for revision, doubt-solving, and deeper discussions. The faculty members are approachable and always ready to clarify doubts, making the learning environment both supportive and enriching.SSCBS’s focus on academic excellence, combined with real-world applications of concepts, truly sets it apart. I'm grateful to be a part of an institution where education is taken so seriously and delivered so effectively.

    Placements

Placements at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) are taken very seriously. The college has a dedicated Placement Cell that works tirelessly to bring in top recruiters and ensure smooth coordination throughout the placement season. Thanks to their consistent efforts and SSCBS’s strong industry reputation, renowned companies like KPMG, EY, Bain Capability Network, and many others regularly visit the campus to recruit students for various roles across domains like consulting, finance, marketing, and analytics. The college’s emphasis on academic rigor, practical exposure, and soft skill development ensures that students are well-prepared to meet industry expectations. Overall, the placement opportunities at SSCBS are excellent and reflect the college’s commitment to student success.

    Value for Money

SSCBS truly offers exceptional value for money. With an annual fee of around ₹25,000, the kind of education, exposure, and opportunities provided here are unmatched. The college delivers knowledge and experiences that are worth lakhs in value, whether it's through its high-quality teaching, industry exposure, internships, or placements. The return on investment is incredible, making SSCBS one of the best choices for management education in India. For students seeking top-notch academics without the burden of a heavy fee structure, SSCBS is undoubtedly a perfect fit.

    Campus Life

I've rated the campus life at SSCBS 2 stars, primarily because of the limited campus space and the high-pressure environment. Unlike larger universities with sprawling campuses and relaxed vibes, SSCBS has a more compact setup, and the atmosphere is quite competitive. There’s a strong focus on academics and extracurricular achievements, which can sometimes create work pressure, especially for newcomers. For introverted students, it might be a bit challenging to settle in initially, as the fast-paced environment demands active participation and networking. While the college excels in academics and placements, campus life could definitely be more vibrant and inclusive, especially in terms of student relaxation spaces and casual interactions.

    Others

Overall, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) stands out as one of the top institutions for management studies in India. With excellent academic quality, a strong placement track record, and outstanding value for money, it provides students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to thrive in today’s competitive world. However, the campus life can feel intense and fast-paced, with a smaller physical space and a highly driven peer group.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college as per government standards is pretty decent. The classrooms are ait conditioned and well equipped and the facilities are decent. Library is well maintained and the food is okay.

    Academics

Studying business administration in finance on campus. The professors are well qualified and the curriculum seems decent. Not sure if they are properly updated or to the mark. Placements in the college appear good as of now, not sure about what comes next.

    Placements

Placements are decent as per an undergraduate degree. Not sure what percentage of the batch actually manages to secure placements each year but the ones that do are placed quite well. Not sure if the placements shown online are inflated or not either.

    Value for Money

It costs around 25 thousand rupees per year for the business administration course. Other courses vary. I would say the return of investment here is worth it and the college is worth the hype given the environment and the hustle culture.

    Campus Life

Campus Life is average. The campus is very small, although it is well structured and maintained, it is very small and not a lot to do. Other than that, the college experience has been, so far, decent.

    College Infrastructure

The college is well equipped with equipments, infrastructure and facilities needed by students. Classrooms are clean equipped with projectors and air conditioning is also there. Lifts are also there in the college with hygienic toilets.

    Academics

I am currently pursuing BBA(FIA) because I was interested in Trading but finance is such a bigger concept I was looking into a part of finance but I got the chance to study the whole part of finance. The quality of teaching is really good as the professors themselves are well adapted to the current scenario.

    Placements

The placement scenario is quite complex though as to be very good placements are there but the process of getting placed becomes quite tiring and overwhelming but that might be a plus point as well as it prepares students for the real world. Most of the people get placed that work hard from the first semester itself. The highest package has been 33 lakhs so far and average going around 11 lakhs per annum. The college leaves no stone unturned while helping students through the placement process.

    Value for Money

For the amount of fees per annum the facilities, equipment and infrastructure is totally worth it as the college is a government college so the fees is way cheaper than those private with better infrastructure and facilities.

    Campus Life

As the college is an off campus college you won’t be seeing a lot of other students from other colleges that you would be seeing in north campus and south campus. The environment around the college is very competitive and serious. You won’t face problems for transportation as both yellow and red line metros are nearby, you can just pay 10-20 rs to reach the metro stations.

    Others

Nothing much more but you won’t regret coming to this college if you are serious about life as this college makes you mature early and making you realize your own responsibilities. You will learn so many valuable lessons in this college. So if you are serious about it then you can go ahead with this college.

    College Infrastructure

the college has decent infrastructure overall, classroom are well air-conditioned, some desks are broken but they get fixed, classes are big but still small for a class of 80 people, classes do have projectors but some don't work, canteen is clean but there are too many flies which make it unhygienic, sports ground is not that well maintained many people have sustained injury in that ground.

    Academics

I'm studying bms because i didn't knew what to pursue later so bms offers some specializations, the quality of teaching is average some teachers are really good and some teachers don't bother to teach, some come too late and just take attendance and leave, curriculum is updated but it doesn't make us job ready

    Placements

the quality of placements is good, prominent recruiters are Accenture, BCG, EY, McKinney and company, kpmg, Bain and company, etc. average package was 13.42 LPA, median was 14.63LPA, highest was 23.50 lpa,

    Value for Money

course fees is around 27000 and it is worth it for this amount the facilities we are getting

    Campus Life

so the campus life is a bit boring i guess there i not much happening everyday like it is a college for total nerds, students engage in dance music and society activities, there are all kinds of students you'll find here and also all kind of teachers and support staff is good, the location could've been better

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is way above other DU colleges. It has all kind of advanced facilities including lifts, smart boards, ACs in every room, modern auditorium and 2 toilets in each floor for both the genders, a library with all required books and ample space for studying. Yes, there is wifi available across the campus and hostel facility but with limited seats. The hostel allotment happens every year according to academics. The only infrastructure it lacks is good sports facility. If you are a sports enthusiast then you will surely be disappointed with the college.

    Academics

Regarding my course, I can choose to decide which specialization to do either marketing, consulting, HR or finance at the 3rd year of college. That was the main reason I preferred BMS over BBA-FIA. The teachers are really good and supportive. Practical components are a part of most of the subjects. Moreover, we get access to all the online study materials and 40+ harvard courses for free.

    Placements

The placement of our college is really good infact one of the best in DU. But it really matters upon your skills, academic, internships and achievements such as case competitions(I know most of you are hearing it for the first time, but competing in them is really important for placements.). You will need to start preparing for the placements from the 1st semester itself for a high CTC placement. According to the 1st phase of the 2024-2025 placement session; average package was 13.42 LPA, highest package was 23.50 LPA, Median package was 14.63 LPA and the top quartile average was 18.77 LPA. More than 70% of placement was offered for consulting roles.

    Value for Money

Absolutely value for money based on the placements and infrastructure it offers. Moreover, the course fees is really less.

    Campus Life

I personally had a hard time adjusting to the college, but with time things went smooth. Overall, I will say this college has its priorities and campus life doesn't seem like one of it. Students, teachers and support staff are good and supportive except for the admin staffs who like most other colleges doesn't know to reply straight forward. There are 40+ societies for students to engage and make friends with . It is located in Rohini sector 16, with the nearest metro station being rithala. yes, it is safe and can handle emergency situations.

    Others

I feel I should have started learning extra skills during my early days in college because of which I feel most of my batchmates have gone ahead of me. But with the right mindset I feel I can achieve my goals.

Overwhelming experience of describing my college.

    College Infrastructure

Best infrastructure in the campus. The college is best in entire DU colleges. It is the best off campus in terms of infrastructure. The college has total of 8 floors. It is a purr hotel format made building. There is only one building. There is a dedicated 2 lift also. And the best part In each classrooms AC is present.

    Academics

Academically it comes under the best suited colleges. There is only three courses in the college overall - BMS, BBA(FIA), and Computer Science. All the three courses are top notch and highly ranked among the DU circuit.

    Placements

The placement in the campus comes from highly reputed recruiters. Companies like google, Microsoft, are prominent here. The campus experience a total of 92% placement rate with highest placement around 30 lpa and average of 9lpa.

    Value for Money

Total value for money. The fees roughly goes between 20 thousand per semester to 30 thousand. And the best part in this low amount fees you experience a high placement rate whivh makes a it best in ROI.

    Campus Life

Campus life i may say bit average. Since there are only 3 courses, the crowd here is compromised. You get to know each other in a very few range. The connections you build here is limited. The exposure to different courses are not achieved here.

    1. Yes 2. Air Conditioned Classrooms, computer labs, quite decent library with enough books, sports is where it lacks. Wifi and smart boards are present and well maintained. 3. Yes, they're quite well managed.

    Academics

Quite competitive environment, with a major focus on acads. Students here are really focused on academics along with extracurriculars. 1. Im studying B.SC(H) Computer Science, because I want to. Quality of teaching is decent at best. Some profs are good, rest are just there. 2. Not really

    Placements

    1. Decent, but Im not sure about B.SC(H) Computer Science, as placements are primarily for BMS and BFIA students, and C.S. students generally go for higher studies. 2. Im not sure, I think around 40LPA 3. Around 10LPA, Havent passed out yet

    Value for Money

    1. Rs 33,000: GEN 2. Yes, because we're getting quite good infrastructure and experienced faculty.

SSCBS features modern infrastructure with air-conditioned classrooms, smart boards, and high speed wi-fi . The well equipped labs, library and open gym create a comfortable and productive learning environment.

    Academics

Academics at SSCBS are rigorous and industry-aligned. Professors are knowledgeable and supportive, often incorporating case studies and presentations into the curriculum. The competitive environment fosters growth, though it can be intense at times.

    Placements

Placements for BBA(FIA) at SSCBS are strong, with top firms like Bain, EY, and Goldman Sachs recruiting. The average package and the finance roles are competitive. However, securing top offers requires a high GPA and active involvement.

    Value for Money

SSCBS offers great value for money with quality education, strong placements and modern facilities. The return on investment is high, especially for BBA in finance, making it a smart choice for students seeking good exposure and career growth.

    Campus Life

Campus life at SSCBS is dynamic and competitive. With over 50 active societies, including FinXand Kronos , students have ample amount of opportunities to engage beyond academics. Annual events like Crescendo add vibrancy, but the intense academic environment can sometime overshadow casual social interaction.

    Best college must go

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of this college is amazing. It is the best in the DU circuit and it is better than most of the private colleges. There are four less for students to separate less for teachers. There is the air condition, library and canteen. All the classrooms are air condition. The seats are very comfortable and questioned best infrastructure ever seen.

    Academics

this is the best B school of India undergraduate level. It has one of the best rankings. One of the best packages best restaurants in the country with the best faculty. It focuses on academics as well as extra curricular.

    Placements

Once again best placements in not even DU circuit, but in fact, the whole country highest packages go up to 40 lakhs. Average packages go for 10 lakhs. Lots of good companies come for placements. If you get a chance, must go.

    Value for Money

The fee is only 25,000, which is one of the lowest that anyone can get at underground level and seeing the facilities that are offered here the fees is next to free. Lots of various software and facilities are offered that are otherwise outside very expensive.

    Campus Life

The number of students currently enrolled in college are very less than their can be, and there is a lot of competition on campus that There is pressure of performance and sometimes it backfires, so the campus life is not very great as it is.close to the colleges

In theory both mathematics and non-mathematics students can apply for Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, however, being a maths student will be much beneficial as the entrance exam required to get admission into this college is a mathematics oriented one and asks questions from topics like AP, GP etc which require a maths understanding.

But yes, you can apply to this college as a no-maths student. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
